I was sitting on the grass just in front of the small terasse that was in front of my room.
I had wrapped the scarf around my arm, and my face was currently burried in it. My whole body was buzzing and I felt happier than I could remember ever feeling.

"Miss." I heard a voice behind me. I turned around, keeping the scarf firmly between my hands. It was a young employee at the hotel. "Is everything alright, do you need anything?" He asked and looked at me.

I giggled at him. Then I laughed. And then I laughed so hard I didn't even make a sound. I felt so light and so at peace, everything was amazing in this moment.
He looked frightened at my reaction and looked around.

"I.. am.. just fine." I breathed out when my laughter finally died out. "In fact, could I have a bottle of Rosé?" I asked with the most childish of joys in my voice.

With a skeptic look he nodded to me and offered me a helping hand up from the ground. I grapped his forearm and janked myself upright. I walzed a little, having lost my balance apparantly.

He guided me to the loungechairs, and sat me down before heading off towards the restaurant area.

I put the scarf down next to me on the table and sighed while looking at the sceneri. How beautiful.

Not long after he returned with a bottle of rosé and a wineglass. He put it in front of me and walked away with a small bow.

I took the glass, in which he had poured some of the pink liquid. With much concentration i tilted the glass against my lips and took a sip. It tasted delicious.

A few minutes later the peace was interupted.

"Skulle vi ikke køre til stranden? Det er så dejligt vejr!" I heard someone talking. Should we drive to the beach? The weather is so nice!

Wait.. did i understand what she said? How did i understand what she said?!

"Hvad sagde du?!" I heard my own voice say, in a language I had never learnt to speak. What did you say?

I must be going crazy. WHAT IS HAPPENING?

The loud couple from yesterday looked strangely at me and my sudden outburst. They were crossing the grass patch in front of the rooms. When they saw my confused and panicked state they got quiet and looked at eachother.

They looked away again and walked quickly towards the restaurant area.

I started hyperventilating, before looking at the bottle on the table. Am I drunk? Am I imagening this?

I took a few deep breaths and decided that I must just have been unbeliveably drunk, on only the quarter bottle I had consumed. Then i poured another glass.

Next thing I know, the small receptionist from yesterday, the waiter from earlier and a manager at the hotel were approaching me. The bottle on the table were nearly empty now and I was sloppily swinging the liquid in my glass around. Thats what the fancy wine drinkers do!

"Miss.." the receptionist said to me as they approached my table.

"Oh, I am sorry, I don't think there's enough to share.." I lovered my head down and looked at the receptionist through the bottle. Her waist was paperthin, and her chin ridiculously bigger than normal. I giggled at the image.

"No miss, some of the guests were worried about you. They said you acted strange."

"Oh yeah, I am so sorry I think I yelled a little bitsy before. Please forgive me, I hope they weren't offended.." My voice were jumping in pitch and I was wildly gesturing with my hands as i spoke.

"Miss thats not what I mean, they said you suddenly shouted at them in danish, and.. and..." She was lost for words, and clearly confused over my behaviour.

I gasped, then lowered my voice to a whisper. "Could they hear it too? Am I speaking danish now?!" My eyes were big as I awaited the verdict.

"Miss I think we should get you into your room, you are a little intoxicated." The receptionist smiled down at me.

"NO! Really? Am I actually drunk this time? Because that gentleman from earlier has made me think I was very drunk twice now! But I don't really think I was, no I think-"

"Miss! Let me help you back to your room.." she smiled at me.

"Okay!" I rose from my seat, but nearly fell straight over again.

"Here we go." She caught me and grabbed my arm before pulling me towards the door. Only now I noticed that the waiter earlier had helped me up to the wrong terasse, I was sitting in front off the neighbouring room. Oops.

Once in the room she helped me down on the bed.

"NO WAIT!" I said when she turned around. "I.. I think I forgot something.." she looked expectantly at me. I thought really hard about it, but struggled to find the thing I was missing.

"MY GLASSES! Have you seen my glasses?" I took a wild guess at where my confusion came from. I was gripping the side of the ben hard as i looked at rhe three employees, who all watched me with care.

She smiled at me and gently pointed under the bed.

"They would be down there honey." I dipped over the edge of the bed, almost hitting my head on the floor. I put a hand out catching my weight at the last second.

"THERE THEY ARE!" I grabbed them, put them on my table and laid down in the comfy bed. The receptionist, waiter and manager had left.

Rolling onto my back, I fell asleep to a spinning world and a vague memory of a kind man.
