Chapter 6: New information

It was early in the morning when Katsuki received a call from Tsukauchi Naomasa. Because of their connection with All Might, they are now in the same boat as someone who knew the secret of One For All. In fact, it was All Might who introduced them to each other and that's how they get to know each other and exchange contact number. And along the way, Doctor Aria somehow got involved in it too and both she and Tsukauchi is now acquaintance too.

"What the fuck do you want?" Katsuki asked in an annoyed tone as he place his phone between his shoulder and cheek while he's chopping the vegetables.

Perhaps he may sounded a little rude here but this is nothing new to those who know him. Due to what has happened to his mate, Katsuki couldn't sleep peacefully last night and is now in a grumpy mood. While Katsuki may be in a bad mood, he'll still do his job as the best Alpha out there by making breakfast for his shitty omega.

"Sorry to call you so early in the morning. But there's something I need to tell you about the villains that you and Midoriya caught two days ago." Tsukauchi said.

From the tone the he's using, Katsuki immediately know that this is a serious business. Then again, Tsukauchi won't call him without a good reason unless it is really important.

"What? Did you make them spill out some useful information?"

"I won't call it a useful information. In fact, this is more of a warning."

"A warning?"

"Yes, we interrogated last night and the villains said that they has no idea what they are doing and why they decided to do such things."

"What do you mean by that?"

"According to them, they were hanging out together at a shopping mall and then the next thing they knew is that they were suddenly robbing a bank."

Katsuki's hand stop chopping and he frown at what Tsukauchi just told him. The villains doesn't know what they are doing? What the fuck is that supposed to mean? From the sound of it, someone else is clearly pulling the strings behind it. And the mastermind has a quirk to mess with people's mind or something, similar to that brainwashing guy that Izuku fought in the U.A. Sports Festival.

"So the real bastard behind this is using a bunch of extras to do the dirty work and then toss them aside? Fucking piece of shit, that asshole's main goal can't be something that's as simple as money." Katsuki growled.

"Correct. The villains said that they remember how their goal is to make the two of you despair, no matter what method they have to use."

"Tch, how fucking stupid. As if I'll despair from something like this."

"Also, regarding the villain who locked Midoriya-kun's memory away. I believe Doctor Aria told you what she saw from the villain's memory right? About how there's no way to undo the effect of his quirk after using it on someone."

"Yeah."

"While there's no way for him to undo the quirk after using it, he said you can wait for the effect to wear off on its own, which might take a month or two. However, you must be careful not to let Midoriya-kun experience any things that might cause negative emotions or else it will take it even longer for the effect of the quirk to wear off. Since Midoriya-kun is 'afraid' of you right now, it might be the best that you keep your distance from him."

"...You got to be fucking joking."

"I know it's not easy for you to keep a distance from your Omega but this is for the best. And it's only temporary so please bear with it."

Katsuki internally curses. Even if it's only temporary, asking him to keep a distance from Izuku is just fucking unbearable. That aside, a quirk to implant false memory and erase it... if the mastermind were to use it on anyone they came across, they can easily turn everyone into Katsuki's enemies.
