Chapter 5: Lonely night

Opening the drawer, Katsuki place his wedding ring away, together with Izuku's diary and all photos that they have taken together. All these things are the hints that can tell Izuku that they are married and Katsuki made sure to keep all these things out of the nerd's sight. Until Izuku's memories return...

Izuku probably will try to find out what has happened after the sludge villain incident so he'll surly look for his diary, photos and his notebooks. So far, what was written inside Izuku's notebooks is all about heroes and quirks so there's nothing for Katsuki to worry about.

And since, all the important 'hints' is inside his (their) room, he highly doubt that the current Izuku'll have the guts to enter this room and snoop around.

Closing the drawer, Katsuki turn off the lights and lay down on his bed. It has been a tiring day and he has been longing for his Omega's loving touch. Sleeping on bed without Izuku beside him feels wrong and it was making his inner Alpha restless. Sure, there are times where one of them is still outside working late at night due to their busy schedule as pro heroes. But this time is different. His Omega is in the same house as him but there was a distance between them.

He has put away Izuku's clothes and things into the guest room, where he's going to be sleeping in for now. So currently, this room lacks his omega's smell and Katsuki's unable to bring himself to fall asleep. He wanted Izuku to lay down beside him, close to him and cuddle together.

Fucking hell... he seriously hate that fucking shitty villain for causing all these shit.

At first he thought it was really stupid of those villains to go rob a bank near their apartment in the middle of broad daylight. But now that he think about it, something doesn't seems right. Katsuki has a feeling that the main goal of those villains wasn't money but something else. Not to mention that when he and Izuku got there, it seems like the villains is actually waiting for them to arrival.

Is those villains actually after them? Well, it's not that surprising since there are tons of villains out there who hate them and want to get back at them.

But Katsuki couldn't feel any intent to kill when they are fighting the villains. If those villains main goal isn't to kill them or anything, then what is it? Is their goal just to use a fucking quirk on one of them and make them suffer from a temporary amnesia? What's the point in doing such a fucking pointless thing?

Fuck, he'll ask Tsukauchi more about those fuckers tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in the other room...

Izuku continue to stare at the dark ceiling, was unable to fall sleep. Many things has happened today and he still need some time to fully proceed it. Firstly, he found out he got hit by a quirk. Then, he found out that he got a mate and is married. And lastly, he found out that he's a pro hero.

It's kind of hard to believe that he actually manage to reach his dream in becoming a hero. Since he was quirkless, he won't be surprise if he was at the bottom of the ranking. But then again, the number of fan letters he has received isn't something that a low ranked pro hero would have.

Also... why did he choose 'Deku' as his hero name? This is something that he cannot understand no matter how much he tried. What in the world is 'he' thinking? Out of so many other wonderful and cool names, why did 'he' choose a mean and insulting childhood nickname given to him by Katsuki? What makes 'him' accept a name that means weak and useless?

Izuku knows that he has a diary and if he were to read it, he'll be able to find out what he has gone through and what he has done so far. But the problem is that he cannot remember where he left his diary. He thought about asking Katsuki but there's no way the blond would know where he left his things.

Turning to his side, Izuku stare at the ring on his finger. Not knowing what has happened for the past 11 years is stressing him out and he doesn't know how to deal with it. Although he doesn't remember who his mate is or what he look like, Izuku really wish that his mate is right beside him right now. At the very least, he'd prefer to have someone by his side instead of being alone.

Come to think about it, Katsuki said they are roommates. Why are they roommates when Izuku's already married to his mate? Surly, he should be living with his mate instead of Katsuki right? If there's a reason behind it, Izuku'd like to remember it.

It would be great if the effect of the villain's quirk can go away quickly. That way, everything will return to normal and he can stop having all kind of questions pilling up inside his head.

Turning to the other side, Izuku let out a sigh and sits up. Since he can't sleep, maybe he can watch a video or something until he finally feel like sleeping. Reaching for the lamp on the table, Izuku turn it on and grab his phone. This phone appears to be very new but surly, his password should still be the same as his old one right? Izuku type in his passcode, which is All Might's legendary debut date.

[Incorrect passcode.]

"Eh?" Izuku blinked. How can this be? 'He' actually changes the passcode that he has been using for a long time? If it's not All Might's debut date then... how about All Might's birthday?

[Incorrect passcode.]

What the...?!

It's not All Might's birthday either? Then what could it be? The day he got his first All Might merchandise?

[Incorrect passcode.]

The day he got his first All Might super rare limited figurine??

[Incorrect passcode.]

Is it All Might's height and weight?!

[Incorrect passcode.]

"Why?!" Izuku groaned, only to realize his mistake as it's already nighttime and he doesn't to make any loud sound or noise that might wake Katsuki up.

His passcode is no longer related to All Might? How can that be? All Might is the hero he grew up admiring so it was... kind of shocking and hard to believe. And now that he think about it, this room doesn't has any All Might merchandises. Did 'he' grow out of his All might phase? If that was true then... Izuku is really disappointed in himself.

But if his passcode isn't related to All Might, what else could it be? The day he debut as a pro hero? The day he got his first fan letter? The day he met his mate? The day his mate propose to him? The day they got married? Or was it the date of his mate's birthday?

If his passcode really is one of those, then there's no way that Izuku can unlock his phone when he doesn't remember any of those dates!

Giving up, Izuku place his phone back on the table and turn off the lamp. He lay down on his back, staring at the ceiling until his eyes finally close and he drifted off to sleep.
