chapter thirteen | new year

Avoiding my relatives and just accept everything what happened seems the best thing to do when times like this. Wala namang mangyayari kung ako pa ang magrereklamo dahil nakikitira lang naman ako. They're kinda cruel, but they still let me stayed there for years, kaya naman may utang na loob pa rin ako sa kanila. But then, accepting everything and letting go about what happened every freaking day was too tiring and draining too. I always said that it's fine to treat me like this, but it doesn't mean that I wasn't hurting.

Hinahayaan ko lang, kasi wala naman ang choice. Tinatanggap ko lang, kasi wala naman akong magagawa para pigilan. At tinitiis ko na lang, kasi alam ko na matatapos din naman 'tong lahat.

"Are you alone here?" I asked as soon as we arrived inside his condo unit.

The whole room smells nice and manly just like him. Hindi ko tuloy maiwasang pasimpleng langhapin iyon.

Windsor smiled a bit as he nodded. Nilagpasan niya ako at iminuwersa ang couch sa sala, habang siya'y nanatiling naka tayo.

"Sit first, what do you want us to eat?"

"Anything.." I uttered in awe while wandering my eyes around the pad.

It's not just a simple unit. One look, you'll eventually know that this freaking room is a hella expensive. Pinaghalong kulay abo at itim iyon, parang hindi na estudyante ang nakatira. Everything looks mature because of the minimalist designs. Dagdag pa na ang linis ng buong paligid.

"Can I really stay here? Kahit hanggang sa New Year? Where are your parents by the way?" tanong ko nang mapagtantong wala siyang kasama ngayon eh paskong pasko.

"They're currently busy with our business abroad," he shrugged nonchalantly.

Huh? So, siya lang mag isa sana ngayon? Kagaya ko?

"What's your plans for Christmas, then?"

"Call and talk to you until midnight, sleep and visit you or my friend's houses to eat," he sneered.

I chuckled.

"But we're together now, so.. Let's celebrate the whole holiday week," dagdag niya pa. "Anyway, have you eaten dinner?" he asked while typing something on his phone. Umangat ang paningin niya sa akin, naghihintay sa sagot ko.

I shook my head. "Hindi pa, naligo lang ako at umalis na kaagad."

Windsor sighed. "Okay, we'll talk later.. Come here, follow me."

Tumayo ako at aligagang sinundan siya. He picked up my duffel bag as we walked along the hallway towards the two doors that I think where the rooms are located. Magkaharap ang dalawang pintuan.

"This is my room," turo niya doon sa kanan. "This is yours, walang gumagamit niyan.. Uunahan na kita, baka sabihin mo nag dadala ako ng babae—"

"Defensive," I whispered while rolling my eyes.

"Ah basta, dito ka sa kwarto na 'to," he pointed at the left door and twisted the doorknob to pull it open.

Nauna siyang pumasok kaya't naiwan ako doon sa may pinto, nahihiyang sumisilip. He placed my bag inside the closet. Nanatili akong nakatitig sa kanya habang ginagawa niya iyon. He looks serious and.. sexy. I can't help but to wonder what he would be like as a husband. Bahagya kong pinilig ang ulo upang iwaksi ang makamundong naiisip.
