Sitting in his office, Rick looks smiling at his laptop.

"You look so happy today," says Matt holding two takeaway coffee cups in his hand.

"Yes, I am."

"So won't you tell the reason to your best buddy." He pushes a cup towards him but loosens his grip only when Rick says Yes, I will.

"No wait... let me guess, you asked Jasmine for a date and she said yes?"

"No." Rick takes the lid off the mug and throws it into the bin under his desk.

"She said no, then why are you happy."

"No, I mean I didn't ask for a date with her."

"So someone else?"

"I didn't ask any girl."

"So a boy? ...that's surprising."

"Will you let me tell ?" He puts the cup on the desk with force.

"Okay, you tell me." Matt permits him finally.

"I went for an interview."

"Haah interview... I was just getting to that, you know."

"Yes, I know," he says with a straight face.

Matt feels like coffee got stuck in his throat. "So how was it?" Clearing his throat he says.

"It was thrilling, I went running to the top and came back running...and was panting heavily at the end." He laughs out loud.

What the hell are you doing Rick? You fetched a gun out of the house which was destroyed by a bomb turning people frozen there into chickens of God knows how many pieces!!!!. You tell him all of that, and he'll put you in jail, stamping terrorists on your head. Rick's inner voice talks to him.

He ends his laugh abruptly.

Matt puts his witty theory in words. "I think, you reached very late to the interview, so you went running....but why did you come back running?"

Rick stays silent, reminiscing about the bomb explosion.

"To come here, right?" Matt gives another wrong conclusion.

"Yes, you're right, the boss here is like a dynamite that can explode any minute."

Matt shakes his head in affirmation. "So how did it all go? What kind of questions they asked?"

Talk more bullshit I'll put bullets in your head...you have 5 minutes...else the bomb will explode and you'll be turned into millions of tiny pieces. He recalls Laura saying to him in his head.

"Oh, it was all general questions, cash flow, ratios, NPV IRR you know," he lies.

"Oh okay, so all went well?"

"Yeah, easy."

"So you aced it, that's why you're so." He stretches his arms wide to quantify the happiness.

"Yes, I am so happy."

"Okay then.'" Matt stands up.

"Yeah okay."

Rick's mood stays jolly as he keeps reminscing the exciting interview. His thoughts get interuptted by his Boss.

"Hey, I have mailed you quarterly data, I need it to be finished today," says Jared, Rick's boss standing next to him.

"But that'll take a lot of time. Even yesterday I went home at almost midnight."
