Felicity P.O.V
Everyone in the Jeep was silent, the only other sound's the dirt crunching underneath the tires as we drove. I laid my head against the window, sitting in the passenger seat. Of course Stiles was driving, while Lydia and Kira remained in the back.
The peacefulness was interrupted by a phone ringing. Stiles's phone, to be exact. He quickly dug his hand around in the pocket of his jeans before pulling out his phone, not even looking at it as he pressed it up to his ear. "Hello?"
It's times like these that I wish I still had my werewolf hearing.
"Scott?" Stiles eyes widened. My gaze shot over to him. "Are you okay?"
"Scott?" I asked. "Let me talk to him."
"In a minute, Felicity." Stiles pulled the phone from his ear for a brief second.
"No," I insisted. "Give me the phone. Now."
"No," He mocked.
I reached out to grab the phone, gasping in shock when he slapped my hand away. He grinned triumphantly. I reached my hand out again, but slapped his arm in return instead. He gaped at me, asking for a minute into the phone, before pulling it away from his ear. "What is your problem?"
"I need to talk to Scott."
"Can't it wait?"
"No!"
I reached my hand out again, pulling it back before he could slap me. Quickly shooting my arm out again, I hit the arm that was holding the phone. It flew upwards and out of his hand. I grabbed the phone mid-air, surprising myself.
"Scott?" I put the phone up to my ear. "You still there?"
"Felicity?" Scott sounded shocked. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," I ignored the glares Stiles was sending me as he continued to drive. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, I'm alright."
"Allison? Derek? Stuart?"
"Them too."
"What happened to Connor, did he get away?"
"I just sat down Felicity." He joked, although there was something different to his tone.
"Felicity, are you okay?" I heard Stuart's voice.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I nodded, even though he couldn't see me.
"Thank God." He breathed.
"Give me the phone, Stuart!" I heard Scott's voice in the background.
"Fine!" Stuart groaned. "Stay safe, Felicity."
"You too."
"Okay," Scott breathed. "Connor didn't escape."
"He didn't?" I gaped, spotting Stiles snap his head towards me out of the corner of my eye. My gaze met his as I asked my next question. "What happened to him?"
"Connor's dead ... Felicity." Scott's sigh came through the phone.
I felt my eyes widen. Stiles gave me a questioning look, furrowing his brows.
"Felicity?" Scott called.
"Yeah," I redirected my gaze towards the road. "I'm fine. Did you do it?"
"No!" I could sense him shaking his head.
"Do what?" Stiles questioned.
I held my pointer finger up to him. My voice became shaky. "Who did it then, Scott?"
"Stuart."
"What?" I couldn't believe my ears. "He couldn't have."
"Felicity." Stiles softly called. I looked at him, feeling tears form in my eyes for some unknown reason. "Can I have the phone?"
Without any words to him or to Scott, I passed over the phone. I turned my head towards the window, watching the trees as they passed by. I tuned out Stiles's voice.
Why am I upset over this? I don't love Connor anymore. I used to, but not anymore. Right? Why does it hurt? I feel a pit where my heart should be, tears stinging my eyes, trying to force their way out. I held them in anyway, not wanting any attention at the moment. I can't deny it anymore. Connor was my first love. The first guy to ever truly care about me the way he did. He was the one I would turn to when in a bad time. He was the first guy to say that he loved me. He betrayed me. He joined Aiden and Ethan. But could it have been for my well-being? You know, that really annoying thing when a guy breaks the girl's heart, just to protect them?
Now here's Stiles. I can tell he really cares about me, even though he hasn't came out and said it. I know care about him, too. The only question is ... how much? He really is a sweet guy, but part of me still wants to hold a grudge against him for bashing the Hale's the way he did. The other part of me wants to forgive him and at least become friends.
I wanted to continue my inner thoughts, but something that Stiles said rang in my ears.
"You want her to stay at my house?"
My gaze snapped over to him in an instant.
"Why can't she just stay at Lydia's or Allison's?"
Whatever Scott said seemed to make Stiles happy, making a small smile form on his lips. I also couldn't help but notice the tips of his cheeks turn pink as he looked down. "Really?"
His grin grew as he looked up again, driving as the light turned green. The sunlight made his eyes twinkle and I couldn't believe how attractive he looked at the moment.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer." Lydia muttered.
I glared at her, only to receive a innocent smile in return.
"Alright," Stiles nodded, the smile still on his face. "Bye, Scott."
"Why were you so happy?" Lydia smirked.
"Oh, nothing." Stiles answered quickly, the pink returning on his cheeks again. "But Felicity, Scott wants you to stay at my house for a few days."
"Why?" My eyes widened.
"Scott trusts me to keep you safe. He wants you to stay with me until you feel better."
"I feel fine."
"Well," He glanced at me. "Scott wants you to be safe. As far as we know, Kali and Ennis are still alive. He's just afraid that they'll find you and take you again."
"What about you?"
"What about me?" He rephrased my question as more of a statement.
"Are you afraid they'll take me again?"
We stopped at another red light, and Stiles fully turned his gaze to mine. His voice dropped to a soft whisper. "Of course I would."
I smiled softly, as we got caught in each other's eyes. That is, until a large horn blared from behind us, making everyone in the Jeep wince. Stiles returned his gaze to the road, and began driving again. I sunk into my seat, watching the road.
