When Poseidon Knows

I flashed to Olympus as an 'urgent' call from the goddess of Love was sent to me. Seriously! What is this woman up to now?

It was never a good sign to have a call from Aphrodite. She always calls us just to rant about beautiful couples, break-ups and tragic love stories which I really have no interest in.

Watching a couple break up? I would be happy if it's my son and that spawn of Athena breaking up but if it's others then it's a big 'no'.

I walked through the beautiful halls of Olympus, passing by some of my other fellow Gods palaces. Passing by my barbaric nephew's, Ares, palace before arriving at my destination. I would've flashed my way in but It might be best for me to walked a while admiring the small changes of my little brother's place. Although I wouldn't really admit that I admired it in front of his egoistic self.

"Ah! Poseidon! Come in! Come in!" Aphrodite greeted. Slamming the overly pink painted doors open. Which I grimaced inwardly. Pink is definitely not my color.

I sat at the pink couch in Aphrodite's main living room. The goddess sitting at the couch opposite to me.

"What business do I have with you, Aphrodite?" I asked, already tired, uninterested and cautious at the goddess of love's beaming face.

"It's about Perseus!" she squealed, a face of adoration on her face. Which i think of as a bad sign. Not again.

"What is this about?" I questioned, already dreading on what the Love Goddess did to just interfere with my favoured demigod son.

Instead of answering my question, she blatantly ignored it and asked a question in return.

"What do you think of Nico di Angelo?"

"The son of Hades? What about him?" I asked back, utterly confused on what the son of my eldest brother got to do with my son. I would've been offended if it wasn't for my son involving here.

"Just tell me! What do you think of him?"

I looked at the intent Aphrodite cautiously. I don't really want to risk angering her or anything. She would curse me on falling in love with a monster if I don't. So reluctantly, I replied.

"... He's a brave child. The most decent one out of everyone of Hades's sons." I said honestly, although I would very much deny this in front of my brothers. Although, I sense the child's hate towards us gods. He still showed respect and I would really like it if Percy is as respectful as him. "He's a very strong demigod. Staying sane after entering and coming back from the pit for a month there especially as a demigod who saw his true form without the mist." I shuddered at the thought of pit. Tartarus, one of the Gods most common fear. "... He's very impressive. Young and Strong... for a son of my brother."

I looked at the squealing goddess of love. The living room shining brightly in pink as she squealed or what mortals usually called fangirling.

"I know, right?! He's very impressive, indeed! Conquering my son with such bravery!–" I unconsciously felt sorry for the boy to whoever he conquered. "–Even his love story is beautiful!—"

Cutting off someone while they're talking is an disrespectful act but so is wasting someone's time. And I don't want to spend more time with the Goddess of Love right now. Thank you very much!

"Aphrodite, I don't really see what the son of my brother had anything to do with Percy? If he isn't in any sort of any danger then I might as well, take my leave."
