The meeting of lost souls

---(Ivory's P.O.V)---

Pale faces and bright eyes appeared, blinding my vision. Memories, objects, people filled my head.

These were things I had seen before. Things I recognized, but I couldn't realize why.

A woman, a man, a boy, two boys and...me. But it wasn't me. I was younger.

Then there was a boy next to me, with brown hair and half-moon glasses. Ned. Then another boy, he was taller and wearing a moss green cap. Michal.

The rest must be my mother and father.

"My little bluebell," the woman whispered as she stroked my long locks.

"Emeralds," Michal said tapping my nose with his finger.

I felt like I was falling into some sort of black hole. Further and further until.

I sat up panting in a bed. Except it wasn't mine. I looked around confused.

"Oh my goodness, you are finally awake," A voice came from beside me. I saw Nurse Winterson rush over, picking up a wet rag and dabbing the cool water on my head, beads of sweat dripping down my face.

"What?" I managed to croak out, "Where am I?"

"Hush now," she soothed, "You have a fever. You are ill so you need to rest."

She strained out the rag and placed it down on the table next to me. I looked around. There weren't a lot of other people around; either they had died, or gone back to the dorms.

An eerie silence loomed over us, almost like the spirits could whisper to me.

But that wasn't important right now. What was, is that I remembered. I remembered everything.

---(Mathias's P.O.V)---

We didn't know why, but there was some tension between us and Jud. Ever since Vince had got back from the hospital wing, he had been worse than ever. He was...smiling. It was weird.

"Vince, what was she like?" Jud asked as we all scrubbed the stone steps.

He looked confused for a moment before replying.

"Who?"

"Nurse Alice." He stated plainly. Vince just started smiling to himself.

"She was...pretty. I think she was our age. Probably a young nurse. Beautiful long brown curls and bright green eyes."

All this talk about a nurse who didn't even exist was really starting to annoy me.

"You sure you weren't hallucinating," I said making the others laugh.

"I mean, it can happen with influenza," Ned stated.

"How would you know? Not like you went to medical school." Vince sassed. I knew this was a touchy subject. It reminded him of Ivory. I looked at him as if to ask if he was ok but surprisingly, he didn't shy away like he usually did. Instead, he pushed his chest out before adjusting his glasses.

"My father, he was a doctor."

The others looked at him in disbelief.

"Blimey mate, I didn't know he was!" Walter exclaimed.

I just chuckled as the conversation behind me went on. I was just grabbing my bucket when I overheard something.

"More children being admitted into the ward each day, I'm not sure that we will have enough beds," Mr. Camborne said to Matron. My eyes widened before signaling to the others. One by one they came up behind me.
