A/N: Hey. Not gonna make this A/N long cuz its prob annoying, but why does Chapter 1 have so many reads and it just goes down to like 70, 50, 60, 40... as the chapters go on?

PERCY POV

I'd like to say that my week suspended sped by, but that would be a lie. The whole time I was suspended, I was not allowed to leave the house and got a lecture from my mom.

It went something like this:

"Percy! How could you get suspended already? It's only a month into school, and you've been going to this school for 2 weeks. 2 weeks!"

I sighed. "I know, mom. And I feel really bad about this, but it was for a good reason."

"What's the reason?"

"I had to tell Annabeth. I had to. And that kid... Luke. He hit me. So I hit back."

My mom sighed. "Well at least you didn't throw the first hit."

I nodded.

"But don't expect me to be lenient with you just because you didn't throw the first hit."

"Yeah, I know."

It was a long week of walking on a sprained ankle and texting Annabeth with an occasional house visit from Annabeth. I don't know if it was just me, but something seemed off about Annabeth. 

I could even tell in our texting. I pulled out my phone and scrolled through the old messages, trying to figure out what was bothering Annabeth.

Percy - Hey Annabeth. How's it going at school?

Annabeth - It's going ok. All Thalia is talking about rn is Noah.

Percy - When I'm no longer grounded, want to get lunch together?

Annabeth - Uhh, Percy I have to go now. Thalia's bugging me about Noah again.

Percy - Ok bye.

Annabeth - [No Response]

I sighed and rubbed my temples. I knew what was going on. I obviously came on too strong. Now Annabeth's probably freaked out by me. Next time I see her, I need to be more laid back.

ANNABETH POV

I was literally stressing at home on how to cut things off with Percy. He was a great guy, and I didn't want him to go back to Rachel. I just don't think it would be in place for us to be dating now. With everything going on. 

Especially the sudden extra stress my father put on me to get good grades and Helen getting extra strict. If Helen ever found out I was dating someone, she would be more aggressive with me. Or worse, she might do what she does to me to him. Percy didn't deserve to be treated like that.
