Part 10

We arrived at the party later than everyone else due to Wonwoo suddenly deciding to join, which then meant we had to wait while Mingyu chose his outfit too.

"Finally, we're here. I thought it would be over, since it seems to take an eternity to change clothes nowadays" I whined, as we pulled up in Wonwoo's car.

"Well, if it wasn't for me you would be turning up wearing clothes a decade behind everyone else" Mingyu retorted. Ready to defend myself, I started to argue back, but Wonwoo intervened.

"Stop, we are here to have a good time, so let's go in" he said, and we quickly followed him in.

Soonyoung's house was bigger than I had expected. It had windows taller and wider than my bedroom and three floors. Who could need this much space?

Apparently the person who needs this much space was the man at the centre of a small crowd, where a dance-off was happening. We joined the crowd, immersed by his energetic dance to his competitor who was out of my line of sight.

Soonyoung was a blonde popular kid who seemed to be able to get along with anybody. I'd had previous interactions with him so we knew each other a little, though his energy was something I could never be on par up with.

Soonyoung finished his dance and the crowd cheered. Stepping into the centre now was Dino.

I didn't expect him to be involved, but there was good reason he was. His movements were mesmerising, no other person in the room was moving as hypnotically as he was. I stood there entranced by the magic he blessed my eyes with and my mouth parted in awe.

After the dance ended the crowd dissipated, stood there still, Dino saw me. He jogged up with a wide grin on his face and his hair glistening with sweat.

"How was I?" He asked.

"You were umm good, yeah good" I stumbled on my words still unable to come back to reality. This compliment was happily accepted by Dino as he chuckled at my hesitant response.

"Do you want to get a drink?" I suggested, while avoiding his eyes, after I had calmed down.

"I would like that" he said.

We made our way from the living room to the kitchen which was packed with beverages, the older people here probably brought them. Knowing I was underaged, and scared of getting into trouble, I decided to just have a water. Dino did the same.

"I didn't know you could dance like that, you were great" Dino smiled at this.

"Thanks, I take classes so I like to think I'm good" he said while leaning on the counter opposite to face me.

"You were more than good" Dino once again gave a small smile when I corrected him.

We stayed there for a while making small talk until a loud voice interrupted our conversation.

"Y/N! You're finally here!" Soekmin the owner of the voice made his way over. He had his usual wide grin and came over to give me a hug. This small act made my heart quickly change pace loud enough I could almost hear it.

"Come with me, there's a group of us playing games in the other room" he enthusiastically said. After I nodded, he quickly took my shoulder and led me to a group of people, and Dino followed suit.

Once again Soonyoung was involved and so was Wonwoo and Mingyu as well as Dino's friends Seungkwan and Vernon. They were playing beer pong.

While setting up for a new game Yuqi came over and joined and there were now nine of us.

"I'll referee" I volunteered and the rest divided into two groups. Seokmin, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino were on one team and Mingyu, Wonwoo, Soonyoung and Yuqi on the other.

The game started and Yuqi's team won instantly with a full sweep.

"Let's play again, but this time if you miss you are out" Vernon suggested and the others agreed.

"How about we do it till there's one person standing and the winner gets a wish" said Mingyu staring at Wonwoo. I think I know what his wish is.

"That sounds good, Y/n do you still want to referee?" Dino asked.

"I'm fine with refereeing again" I said, knowing that if I played I would have to drink, and at least one of the three of us that arrived together should stay sober.

The new game started and many of them were soon eliminated. Everyone left got more competitive knowing a wish was on the line.

"No! Let me try again, the light was in my eyes" Mingyu argued.

"You know very well it wasn't and you don't need a wish to get down with your boyfriend" I said after I told Mingyu he was out.

Now Seokmin and Yuqi were the only ones left and each a little tipsy at this point. Each team cheered on their last teammate until eventually a winner was found.

"I WON!" Screamed Seokmin while running around the table.

"Now it's time to claim my prize, my wish is for Yuqi to kiss me"
