It's date night and I'm still in shock that I am going through with this. I had finally agreed to Dino's incessant asking out and could feel butterflies in my stomach.
I knew I should call up Mingyu and get him to help me choose an outfit, however I wanted to keep this a secret for now. After all, he did keep his first date a secret until I found Wonwoo in his house. I work my way through my whole wardrobe until I find a decent wear. A simple red blouse to match with a tight black miniskirt. I quickly straighten my hair and collect my jewellery.
"SEUNGCHEOL" I scream down the stairs, "please can you help me with my jewellery" I plead as he arrives to my bedroom.
"What you getting ready for?" he asks while taking my necklace out of my hand.
"A date" I squeal and bounce on the spot.
"With who?" Seungcheol spins me around and grabs my shoulders with a stern face.
"Dino the guy I work with" I grin at my brother after he finished putting my necklace on me.
"I've never met this Dino guy, I don't trust him" my brother states and I get ready to facepalm my face as I know what he is about to say.
"I'm taking you there and yes you have no say in that" he shuts me up. There was no point in stopping him, as Seungcheol was not a person to argue with. As a joke I would often call him my leader as I was often being ushered about by his rulings.
I finish getting ready and met Seungcheol at his car. The drive is short as the restaurant is in town. We park up outside and as I see Dino I say a quick goodbye and scramble out of the car, even though my brother cannot be shrugged off that easily.
And damn did Dino look good. He wore a dark suit that clung to his body in all the right places and had styled his hair down only just covering his eyes. I had never seen such a man before. I stood there gawking at him until I heard my brother talking. Holy shit had I been blindly lead by stupidity to not realise the godly man I worked with was the guy I should have been crushing on.
"I don't care how good this date goes but I want my sister home by at least 10:30 and untouched by you mister" Seungcheol said while squaring up to Dino.
I could almost see Dino give a slight chuckle, however Dino didn't question my brother and quickly promised him everything even dropping me off afterwards.
"Happy now?" I whine as my brother gives Dino one last scowl.
"He seems quite a character" Dino chuckles and scratches the back of his head. I watch in awe as the shinning moon reflects light onto Dino's God sculptured face.
I blush at the thought of dating Dino and the chance to see his face everyday and how far our relationship could go with less boundaries.
"Can I escort you in?" I laugh and hook my arm around Dino's and as I do this he pulls me in tight and we make our way to the restaurant.
We find our table and make our order and as we wait Dino pulls out a candle from his jacket with a lighter.
"What are you doing?" I ask him confused.
"I'm making this a romantic candle lit dinner obviously" he laughs.
"Aww that's so sweet of you" I squeal as he lights the candle. I admire Dino as he does this, I mean how could I have bagged such a classy man and what an idiot I have been for not falling for him sooner.
"Thank you Dino" I say with my eyes watering slightly, thinking about all the support he had given me the last few weeks.
With no question on what I was thanking him for he quickly smiled and said "well I am always going to be there for you".
We have our meal and Dino asks for the dessert menu.
"I don't know if I can take much more food" I groan and feel my belly, "Dino I apologise in advance if my stomach explodes"
He laughs and ruffles my hair making all the strands go in different directions. My hair was perfect and now it's ruined and even worse if Seungcheol sees my hair like this he may think that we had done something together, and that would not go down well.
"Hey you idiot you've ruined my hair!" I play shout and cross my arms while pulling a face. Dino comes in close next to my ear almost touching, almost but he stopped himself before he touched her and lost control.
"I could ruin a lot more if we had a little privacy" he almost groaned in her left ear.
My face instantly blushed bright pink, Dino had never said such a seductive thing to me. Even though I was surprised by his words I had to bite my lip before I took him up on that.
"We'll I think it's about time we got out of here before my brother drags us out by our ears" I laugh to get rid of the awkwardness of what he had just said to me.
We paid and made our way out of the restaurant, thinking that was the last of the seductive remarks Dino then pulled me in by my shoulder in one swift motion and dropped his hand down to my waist to hold me close to him.
What happened to the cute Dino who was just a friend, what new Dino had I just unlocked? This man holding me close to him was different, it was like he could be himself and not hold back his feelings for me. I liked this, I had never received such attention before and it made my stomach quiver with anticipation.
"Let's get you home sunshine" he grinned while looking straight into my eyes. He squatted a bit so we were more eye level and reached out his hand to hold my cheek. Softly he stroked my left cheek and gave a smirk, "so how should we end this evening?"
"What..." I stutter, oh no did he want something more, instantly he saw my face change and widened his eyes.
"Noooo that's not what I meant, I was gonna ask if you wanted to race home or a piggy back, oh god I wouldn't do something you weren't comfortable with" he quickly shouted in a panic, his eyes the widest I had ever seen them.
I burst out laughing, partly in relief and partly because seeing him panic was amusing. "Well I think I'll go with the race" I say and instantly leg it home not waiting to start on his mark, because otherwise I would never have the chance to win.
I run down the streets of our town not looking back, Dino is very athletic so there was no chance I could win, but still I ran as fast as I could hoping I caught him by surprise. After making it down the end of two streets ahead of him, Dino quickly surpassed me while grinning at me as he did so. He looked so cute, with his soft smile and earnest attitude I couldn't help but get distracted and loose my competitiveness.
I slowed down to a halt and seeing me do this Dino did too but still ahead. I bend over in exhaustion and cry aloud.
"I cant beat you... you're too much" I pant out and stand up again to look at his eyes.
Dino chuckles, "I'm too much? Nothing you can't handle" he charms and steps towards me arm outstretched, "how about that piggyback?" he asks.
I look at his arm towards me and felt a wave of emotion crash into my heart and eyes, 'don't cry' I chant to myself. Nobody had ever made me feel special like this before, no one had ever looked at me with such kind eyes and wanted to hold me close.
"Dino... thank you" I whisper hoping he couldn't tell how affected I was by his gesture.
"Always" is all he said.
