Another day of work, since it's winter holiday now I've just booked my schedule full of work so I don't have to meet up with Seokmin at all. So far it's worked and I've had fun working with Dino.
We really get along and I feel so secure when talking and laughing with him. When I'm with him I forget all my worries.
"Hey Sana, What can I get you today?" I say to a woman trudging her way to the counter. Her makeup was smeared and hair a mess like a family of birds had found their home in it.
"A large hot chocolate with whipped cream and a massive slice of cake" she sniffles out.
"What happened?" I ask.
"Hyunjin broke up with me" she whimpers, while I prepare her order.
"Oh no, are you alright?" I ask despite the answer being so glaringly obvious that it was no.
"I will be after I eat my worries away and get tipsy later" she responds.
Poor Sana, though I can relate on wanting to eat all my worries away.
After my shift ends I collect my belongings and make my way outside of the shop. Dino is stood outside waiting and holding an umbrella.
"What are you still doing here?" I ask.
"Waiting for you duh, I know you either don't own an umbrella or never let it see the light of day" he joked and pulled me towards him by my shoulder. We were very close together, but this didn't bother me as I preferred this over getting wet by the rain.
"So lead the way" Dino exclaims and I link arms with him to drag him in the right direction.
"How are you holding up?" he asks a few minutes into our journey. His brows always furrowed when he asked how I was, it was so cute and always reassured me that he was engaged for the response that I was about to give.
"Better definitely, I think about him less for sure and you always distract me from it" I tell him.
"I'm glad, but if you ever feel uncomfortable at school just know I'm there for you and you can hang out with me" he responded.
"Thank you, I will remember that" I smiled back. Dino really was there for me, and I found myself depending on him more and more, this was unusual as I tried to only ever depend on Mingyu and my brother for important matters.
"Well, we're here and I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school" I say and make my way inside my house. Dino waves me off and I find myself smiling as I make my way to bed. What did I do to gain a friend as good as Dino?
