Nzinga walked through the door several minutes behind Dru.
"Let's go downstairs." He directed.
She had actually never been to the other parts of the warehouse and she felt selfish for it. He knew every part of her apartment, but she had not even went downstairs in his. There was a black door in the corner of the room opposite of the entrance that ran flush to the two corner walls. He opened the door and stepped out .
The other portion was not so much downstairs as it was a separate space altogether. He walked across a bridge type hallway that overlooked a large expanse. In the corner of the space was a small kitchen of its own with an island gas stove top. There was a large, long wood table that stood in the middle of the floor that seat 12 people and who knows how many pixies. Each chair was different but somehow they all complimented each other. In the middle of the table were 7 large white candles with melted wax molded on its shaft from previous burnings. There was another couch with a coffee table covered with old books and leather journals. She climbed down a smoothed cement staircase with steel rails. "It's steel?"
"Yeah?"
"The iron doesn't bother you?" she posed.
"No, we are not affected by cold iron the way other fae creatures are. Besides, the house was bespelled and warded to protect me and those I have granted passage to."
"And if someone breaks in?"
"They won't" his answer was sure.
The bottom floor stretched far beyond what seemed to be partitioned as the living space separated by clear double doors that led to a hallway with several room type spaces .
"There's nothing back there. Just the other half of the building"
"I guess I didn't realize you used the whole building."
They walked to the far corner covered with black gym mats, a punching bag, weights. "I thought we were gonna work on my magic?" She was disappointed.
"We are, but likely you will have to fight and wield your magic. So you are going to learn both at the beginning." Nzinga heard a door open and close with smooth steps coming closer.
"Hi Amina" Nzinga spoke. Badru nodded and moved to the couch.
"Amina is the fiercest fighter I have ever encountered. Every scratch you have seen these past weeks came from her, and lucky enough she showed mercy to not stab me further."
"You don't think I should start at a beginner's level?" Nzinga asked nervously.
Amina moved to the mat meeting Nzinga. "When you fight, nothing is fair. You must fight with everything you are, starting with acknowledging who you are."
Amina's eyes hardened on the last words.
Nzinga stepped closer and glared. Her Eye opened and beautiful lights glowing from every part of Amina. Amina was gold, silver and with a soft glow of rose. Amina was powerful, but the most beautiful part was the compassion that cloaked over her power. She would keep her secret.
"Don't tell him" Nzinga breathed. Amina nodded in agreement.
" You must tell him soon," and with that Amina punched Nzinga dead in the nose. A small stream of blood trickled down her lip.
Dru swirled around and growled. Amina bared her teeth toward him then encapsulated Nzinga within her orb. Dru stormed back to the main apartment and stayed there until Nzinga came back to the apartment - bloodied, limping and sweating. Nzinga 's head was high when Amina walked in behind her. Amina had her own battle wounds from the practice, but her marks and cuts had already began to heal. Nzinga walked straight to the bedroom and stripped off all her clothes. Dru followed behind her and closed the door.
" I heard the door close, Amina left?" Nzinga asked while staring in the mirror waiting for the shower to run .
"She got a call from Dave and is heading over the store."
"You need to heal" he remarked while nipping at his wrist to offer his blood.
"I don't use blood." She said softly.
Understanding covered his face. He allowed his power to pour out of his body. Her essences pulled at the strands, and she drew herself closer. Her hand caressed his face as the small cuts across her body healed and the deeper soreness breathed in release of pain. "Thank you"
His own body felt weak at the energy exchange.
She walked to the shower and bathed using his soap. She wrapped herself in one of his large bath sheets and gargled with his mouthwash. Looking for moisturizer she found whipped shea butter and massaged the pieces into her skin. The pixies were not there so the clothes were still on the floor and nothing was pulled out for her.
Dru looked at her and lifted her into his bed. He removed his clothes desiring to be skin to skin with her. She waxed recently and her skin glistened from the moisture. She sat atop him in bed.
"Let's have Thanksgiving here, in our home". She asked of him His eyes became feline green. She bent down, her breast slipping along his chest and kissed him. He placed himself inside her, wrapped his arms around her, and with his first thrust said "Thank you"
