Kai groaned eagerly as he kissed down Valencia's neck.

She sighed and gripped his neck, pulling herself up into his lap. He smirked and tugged her close. He gently began rocking her hips against his.

She moaned into his ear quietly and he groaned in response. She brushed her nose against his, a only a hairs breath was between their lips before he went back to her neck.

Valencia continued rolling her hips as he grazed his sharpened canines against her supple skin.

"Kai," Val hummed and tugged at his hair. He grunted and kissed the spot he'd chosen.

"You okay?"

Valencia smiled softly and kissed his temple.

"Mhm," she whispered.

He inhaled deeply as his stomach flipped before he slowly sunk his teeth into his mate.

Val grit her teeth and groaned out in pain. Kai hissed in pleasure as bliss pulsed through his body. He bucked up against her hips as he bit deeper.

She finally felt a wave satisfaction and tightened her grip, "Fuck, oh more!"

Malakai pulled out of her and immediately licked her wound. She cried out at the shock of pleasure.

"Valencia," he moaned breathily. He glanced down and saw she'd fallen asleep against him.

Valencia mumbled as she began waking up, heat surrounding her.

She refused to open her eyes, rubbing her hands around the source of heat. It moaned lightly and she jumped.

Valencia glanced up finally to see she was flush against Kai's chest. Her face buried in his shoulder, she saw all of her blankets had been kicked off, probably due to Malakai's sheer body heat.

She slowly rolled on top of him. Her neck buzzed with tingling as she sat on her mate. As she straddled him she rest her head on his chest again. She listened to his strong heart beat and traced shapes over his large bicep.

"Finally awake?" Kai's voice was raspy as he awoke himself.

Valencia nodded slowly, she felt Malakai's hand trail over her spine, to her shoulder, finally running his fingers over her fresh mark. She shivered and finally unburrowed her face from his muscular chest. She craned her neck to see the scarring tissue. It wasn't raised and she could see his name beginning to form.

"I was enslaved in a wolf pack for as long as I can remember..." He started. Valencia looked up sharply and her eyes softened as she realized he was beginning to open up.

He recalled how he and his siblings were raised as killing machines, memories wiped by dark magic at a young age. She could see in his face how much he loved his sister and brother.

He spoke about how his sister found her mate, coincidentally the Lycan King, who released them. Their parents who had essentially abandoned them were back in the picture and it caused a lot of stress. However there wasn't much time because they were busy fighting Victor.

As he finished he felt Valencia kiss up his neck gently. She finally looked into his red eyes and brushed her nose against his, running her thumb under his eye.

"Thank you for telling me," the Nymph whispered.

"You?" Kai asked as he brushed her hair behind her ear. She hummed and tilted her head to look down at him as she straddled him.

In this moment Kai could've sworn she was the prettiest thing in the world.

"Well," she huffed. "I grew up around the corner from here, my father hooked up with a Nymph woman and she did what they always do- leave. He remarried blah blah blah, boring human woman who doesn't necessarily like me. My father was so wrapped up in her... well I ended up with people like Doc. Worked the strip from 17 to 20 and bought this place with the cash. Everything like the guns and protecting myself... I picked that up on the way."

Malakai ran his hands over her arms, pulling her down to lay on him once again. He kissed the crown of her head quickly.

"I think this is the most affection you've given me," Val smirked as she gripped him tighter.

"Shut up," he scoffed.

Valencia hummed and sat up slowly, "We have to talk to Doc about Pierce." She ignored her mate growling at the woman's name.

"If he has a name he can find them. If he finds her he can get you closer to Victor, yeah?"

Kai sighed as she cupped his cheek, pecking her wrist.

"Sounds like a plan, I'm pretty sure he mentioned meetings today so we can crash those."

"Docs meetings are always fun," at her response Kai narrowed his eyes in suspicion.
