Malakai's red eyes stared up at the starry night. In the distance he could hear the familiar sound of the city.

He's been gone from his family for two years now, there were brief visits when his niece was born a year a half ago. Other wise he was almost overly dedicated to this mission.

By his side were countless coordinates of Victors location and list of his confirmed contacts. Malakai looked at the small devices on his other side. One packet that once thrown down could create a camp ground. A compact cellphone, enchanted to be practically unbreakable and has a tracker routed to Elio and Demetrius.

Elora was of course breathing down her mates neck to have his location at all times.

His heart constricted at the thought of his sister.

Not that he didn't love his brother, Lucas. Or his brother in laws Demetrius and Teddy.

But Elora was his rock.

Since they'd woken up without their memories she'd always helped him with his demon.

Being a Hell Hound that couldn't shift was, interesting. It was as if his feral side was locked away in his mind, in his solitude he was becoming more aggressive. He was angry, angrier than usual.

Just the thought of Victor now almost set his entire body aflame. The demon in his mind banged against the cage that was his mind.

The demon wanted so many things. Garbled demands often rung through his head, the death of victor, their own territory, a mate.

The only thing Malakai wanted was the death of Victor. Nothing was going to stop him and nothing was going to slow him down.

He looked at his dying fire, he turned his palm towards it and watched fire spew from his pores.

He tossed and turned, per usual.

Tomorrow morning he'd be back in the city, in pursuit of a lead.

Valencia grunted as she rolled out from under her prized possession.

She laid on the wheeler as she looked over the matte black Camaro. The 1967 beauty had been paid for by her hard work. She glanced around her garage filled with several cars she had to fix.

She was one of Endorphins most reliable mechanics. Of course, that didn't mean she was rolling in cash- her customers didn't have the means for over expensive prices.

No, Valencia did this for her neighbors and just made by on rent.

"If I had sex with a car, it'd be you any day Jet." Valencia caressed her hands over the slick cars body.

She hummed as she pat the vehicles hood

She hummed as she pat the vehicles hood. She tagged her projects for tomorrow, knowing her apprentice would be here tomorrow to help.

She brushed her hands down her cool toned, beige skin. Her black hair was shoved out of her face with her greasy fingers.

The woman stood at 5'6, she had soft asian features as she nibbled on her plump lips.

Her dark hair made her cool toned skin stand out even more with her dark eyes.

On her left arm, she dawned a long, red, dragon tattooed down the length of her limb. Blue decor highlighted the detailed ink, on her inner forearm there were symbols. They were Wu, a Shanghainese language, and they had a phrase incorporated in the design.

Valencia hummed, wiping her hands as she kicked open a door leading to steps.

As she climbed them she was welcomed by her homey apartment. It was nice having her home above her workplace, nothing was ever too far.

Besides break ins were common and she often had to defend her cars from jackasses.

Her barbed wire bat usually did the job.

If not there were always other precautions she's taken.
