Five years later...

The air buzzed with animated chatter and laughter. Kids ran around the garden, hosing each other down with water guns and playing with colourful balloons. Crumbs littered the grass as ants crawled out of their homes to carry fragments home with them.

A small child with a frizzy ball of hair, crouched under the table between a huddle of feet, giggling as she turned to her friend who hushed her sharply. Hide and Seek. On the top of the table, lay an array of cakes, jelly, and ice cream as well as nutritious sandwiches, squash, and wine for the adults.

But one couldn't be too careful, as some of the older kids went around trying out the foreign substances and subsequently made disgusted faces. Adulthood wasn't ready for them yet.

A young lady entered the garden, a smile lighting up her face as she greeted the guests. She was dressed in a simple, lavender dress that floated just above her knees and in reach of the young toddler who'd taken it upon himself to carry the non-existent trail.

"Jake? Stop that!"

Sapphire picked up the child and ruffled his hair playfully. Motherhood suited her, especially after having so much babysitting experience with Harry from all those years ago. The boy (or now teenager) in question, had grown up at a shocking rate. Harry looked quite dapper in a suit that couldn't hide the muscles he'd gained from his wrestling tournaments.

He was seated next to Lilly, who was serving everyone her homemade Oreo cheesecake. Her café had taken off hugely and baking had become second nature to her. Carmen grinned as she took her plate, looking as gorgeous as ever in a classic, baby pink dress. She was very busy these days; often committing herself to building up her modelling profile.

Meanwhile, across the table Tee and Johnny were having a sibling squabble as they fought over the last sandwich. They'd both grown to be successful in their own right: Tee with her new sewing company 'Taylor-Made' and Johnny with his army training.

Gus, who'd grown to an extraordinary height was crouched over the piano playing a dazzling tune. He'd achieved so much at the Royal Orchestra and his skills blossomed from his fingertips.

Jody and Tyler supervised the younger kids as they shared a bowl of popcorn between them; their classic meal. As they chatted, a look of love passed between them as they recalled the nature of the event. Weddings were always the happiest places to be.

"Who wants Jamaican banana cake?" Gina yelled, in her thunderous voice as the kids went running. May-Li smiled and offered her a hand as they fed the ever-hungry children.

Mike laughed heartily, sitting with the one and only Tracy Beaker. They sat in the middle of the action; watching as veterans did, and recalling their own fond memories in the DG.

Frank stood up, giving Bailey a knowing smile as he tapped on his champagne glass. Well, champagne glass that was filled with apple juice.

"Here's to the happy couple; Liam and Elektra!"

An applause broke out when Bailey pulled the party popper and Liam gave a few mock bows in his grey tuxedo before planting a kiss on Elektra's lips as she sat down to join the others, her lavender dress fluttering out around her.

"Auntie Lex!"

Elektra spun around to greet her niece. Charlie had grown up to be an inquisitive and yet mature child, who'd welcomed Elektra back into her life. There had been no hard feelings between them; since Charlie had grown up healthily with a foster mum and dad who were more than happy to make Liam and Elektra a part of their family too.

"Can I please get hair like Jasmine? She'd said she'd do it for me..." she trailed as Elektra turned to greet her best friend Jasmine. The two had found each other again through a social networking site after Jasmine had stumbled across Liam and Elektra's song, 'Wonderland'.
