'I don't do this, I don't write my true feelings and I most definitely don't say them out loud.'

'I have done things - that would give any other my age nightmares.'

'I have personally felt the heat leave the body of the person I have loved dearly.'

'Buried friends and burned family.'

'All the hurt that I carry with me, I keep it buried. I made a deal with myself, I won't feel the pain ever again. However I did.'

'Because of her of all people in this world. I fell for the woman I was moulded to kill.'

'And yesterday, when I saw her kiss him. I decided that I cannot hold myself back anymore because of her.'

'I needed to live - as far away from others as possible.'

Nathan's day started earlier than he wanted it to, Penelope had woken him up way too early to help her with baking cupcake.

Only one knowing he could bake and cook, because she had once walked in on him baking for himself.

So, to help Penelope bake for Josie & Lizzie he had been awake for at least two hours, two hours more than he wanted to.

He thought the time might help him go over the possible conversations he would have with Dorian, Emma and Alaric.

However now that he walked towards Ric's office with the folder in hand, preparing himself for the emotional hell he was about to go through.

He realised the two hours had been a total waste of time, apart from the fact that he helped her bake over 150 cupcakes.

Since Nathan never knew his father, a fact he was glad about, he never knew what having one felt like but if he had to guess. It would be what Alaric was to him.

"Hey Ric -!"

As soon as Nathan had turned and entered the man's office, he saw a woman is a wedding dress

"A woman in a wedding dress? This is new."

He couldn't help but quip at what he saw, but his amusement went out the window as soon as Ric pulled out his crossbow and aimed it at the woman.

"Woah!"

Nathan exclaimed just as Alaric pointed his crossbow at Jo, trying to diffuse the tension a bit. As he tried to disarm the situation, literally.

"Put the crossbow down Old Man."

The woman, noticing the 'Old Man' but choosing not to comment on it, raised her arms up in submission as she tried to do the same.

"Yes Ric, My freak out level is on an eleven."

Alaric seemed to be less focused for only as second as he spoke to Nate, still not putting the crossbow down.

"You don't know who this is supposed to be Nate!"

Nathan knew that Alaric needed to feel safe in this situation, even though he was the one with the crossbow. It appeared the woman was far more frightful to Alaric then other monster.

"Dorian!!"

Nathan screamed, hoping that said man would be near them to listen to him. Which he was as Dorian came running towards the office and upon spotting everything, he spoke.

"Nate - woah, woah - put the crossbow down Ric."

Dorian tried to calm Ric down too but Ric didn't listen as he kept his crossbow trained at Jo.
