Hannah had spend the entire night worrying about the dread she felt, she knew it had something to do with Nathan.

She wanted to call him but couldn't reach him, and his voice mail was full. She heard knocking on her door and knowing it was one her parents she asked.

"Yeah?"

Her mom peaked into the room, looking at her with worry.

"Honey, it's the first day of spring break? Are you ok?"

Hannah got where her mother was coming from, normally on the first day of spring break. She'd be up earlier than she did for school, have breakfast and run out of the house.

Hang out with any friend that were still in Mystic Falls. However, she has been working her ass off to buy a car of her own. So, she had decided to stay and work this spring break.

However, she wasn't out early today because she didn't realise what time it was, and she had yet to get out of her bed.

"I was up all night worried - about something."

She said, not wanting to tell her that she was worried about a boy she liked.

"I get that, your dad & I felt that feeling too."

"You did?"

Hannah asked in surprise, she didn't think anyone else felt that, especially not her human parents.

"Yeah, it was weird AF."

Her mom joked and Hannah rolled her eyes, and glared at her mom. Who was trying her hardest not to smile at her use of the phrase.

"Wow mom, once again you have ruined another phrase for me."

Hannah said and her mother looked at her in mock hurt as Hannah started to get off the bed, and her mother exclaimed at her.

"Come on! I'm cool."

She defended as Hannah shot her a look, as she explained.

"Only until you try to be 'cool'."

Her mother rolled her eyes as she put her hands on her waist and told Hannah.

"Fine. Come on breakfast is ready."

Hannah nodded as she grabbed some clothes and walked into her washroom, while saying.

"Yeah, let me wash up first."

Her mother hummed as she left the room and walked out of her room, Hannah followed soon after.

Dressed in black leggings and Grill's signature blue t-shirt. A jean jacket in her bag as she sat down for breakfast.

They had their standard breakfast, they would talk about their plans but considering all of them had work throughout the spring break.

Not much to talk about apart from a little joking around and the same speak about preparing for the SATs.

Suddenly there door bell rang, Hannah's mother got off the chair as she said,

"I got it."

With that she walked towards their main door, opening it to reveal Nathan, standing there with a bouquet of white lilies in his hand.

"Good morning."

She said, a smirk on her face as she had been waiting for a chance to meet the boy who her daughter was so smitten with.

Upon spotting Hannah's mother instead,  of Hannah. Nathan shifted uncomfortably in his position as he stammered.

"Ah hello - Good morning Mrs. Baker, I'm Nathan -!"
