Unconsious and Unaware

"It was so nice meeting you! And again I apologize for our daughter." I could hear mothers muffled voice outside in the front yard. I looked out of my bedroom window into the front yard.

"Oh it's fine, he's been through worse." Coopers dad said as they put the groggy and discombobulated Cooper into the car. He was a middle aged man with dark hair and slight grey sideburns. He was dressed in a fancy suit and is apparently the new accountant for the lumber mill. He was standing next to his wife who was shaking my parents hands. She was a very tan, and very short lady with long blonde hair. It was tied up in a messy 'mom' bun. She was dressed in an ugly pair of mom jeans and a plain red t-shirt. After they said their salutations Coopers family drove off. And within moments I could hear my father coming up the stairs.

"Oooh you're gonna get it now." Kyle said as he poked his head into my door way.

"Shut up Kyle." Emily said as she passed by.

"November we need to have a talk..." Dad said in a tone I couldn't quite place as he was followed by mom who look really, and I mean really pissed.

Kyle let out a small immature laugh. "Hey don't think we've forgotten about you, making out with girls you just met at a party last night..." Mom said as she gave Kyle the classic mom death glare.

Mom closed the door behind her.

"Ember, I've done some talking with your mother, and we've come to the conclusion we aren't upset at you." Dad said as he took a seat in the chair at my desk and looked over at mother.

"Yes we are." Mom said with a fiery rage in her eyes.

"No, we aren't." Dad said giving her a sorta 'come on' look. "But what you did does have some consequences." Dad paused for a moment. "We were going to give you a car for Christmas. But it'll have to wait till after Christmas. So you'll just have to keep using my truck to get you to school and that's the only time you can use it. School related activities and such. And if we catch you driving Kirks car there will be some more consequences." Dad let out a huge sigh as he got up from the chair. "Any thing you need to say?" He asked looking over at mother.

"You could have killed him... But I'm glad everything's alright. To make it up to them they are coming over tomorrow night for dinner, you're going to help me make it as punishment, and try not to kill him while he's over here." Mom also let out a sigh. "Now to go talk to your brother, the one I'm really upset about." I let out a small laugh as they then exited my room.

My room was somewhat of a mess. But it wasn't big to begin with. It only had my desk by the door, my bed which was under the window that faced the front lawn, and then my dresser with a TV and some other miscellaneous stuff all over it next to the bed under a second window on an adjacent wall, and then parallel to that wall was my walk in closet. I have the smallest room in the house, I can never remember why, but I sorta like it. It's easy to trash, but easy to clean. And so, I then walked over to my desk and opened my laptop. My most previous two web pages were opened. My Tumblr, and my English paper that was due on Monday. The paper was on parts of literature in written music or poems. I love poetry, but I decided to do it on one of my favorite music artists, Sufjan Stevens. I had chosen some of his songs like 'Come On! Feel The Illinoise!' 'Romulus' 'Casimir Polaski Day' and my personal favorite 'Pittsfield.' Im not quite sure why it's my favorite. Then again I never really know why anything is my favorite, like the colour red, or the movie 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' or the book 'An Abundance of Kathrines.' But I guess they all kind of appeal to the same thing of well, being know and present. Even the colour red. But so, I started writing on my paper.

The Next Day

"Ember! Come help me with dinner!" Mother called from down stairs. I had spend most of the day working on the paper and surfing Tumblr. It's not my most efficient day, but I was working hard as the paper was due tomorrow. And so I slowly managed my way down to the kitchen.
