I Sure As Hell Hope I'm Not Mrs. McFly

"Oh my god, you look like crap." April said as she sat next to me in Trigonometry.

"Thanks." I said as I slowly lifted my head up from my desk.

"Seriously, you're a mess. Did you get any sleep last night?" April asked as she pulled some hair from out of my face.

"I don't know..." I said as I stared endlessly into the space in front of me.

"What happened?" She asked as she started digging through her bag.

"Cooper came over last night for dinner, and-"

"Oooh! Did he now? How was it?" April asked, cutting me off.

"It was... Interesting." I said as I proceeded to open my bag and pull out my trig notebook. "I learned I actually sorta know who he is, and that I have two classes with him."

"That's fun!" April said as she proceeded to pull out her phone from her bag.

"Eh." I said as I started to do some of the work that was on the board. April sat there on her phone looking at Pinterest, or Buzz Feed, or something. I don't know. The only social network I know even remotely well is Tumblr.

"Ooh! Look at this!" April said, handing me her phone.

"That's... Expensive..." I said looking at the price of the 650$ dress.

"Yeah but do you like it?"

"Sure." I said taking a closer look at the dress. It was a navy blue sundress that had white lace around the bottom and the cut off sleeves. It was pretty, but not something I would wear. I'm not a fancy kind of person. If I could live my whole life in jeans and a sweater I would.

"I think I'm going to buy it." April said making a contemplated face at the phone.

"It's expensive." I said to her forgetting her 'status'

"Ember. When had that ever stopped me?" She made a good point. Her grandfather was the original owner of the lumber mill here in town. He opened it up during World War Two, and a lot of the wood went into making rifles. Specifically M1-Garands and other wood stock rifles for the U.S. Armed Forces. It lead to her family having a lot of money.

I then continued to work on the problems on the board. Nothing to complicated, but April remained on her phone literally up until the bell. And then from there I headed to Modern History. None of my friends were in it, but I didn't mind as it kept me from talking during class. It was a little ironic though when I sat down in my desk and Mr. Hamilton wrote on the board 'POP QUIZ' in huge letters. The quiz was on the Kennedy Era and the Cold War events during his era. It was a short five question quiz, but 'take that father! Studying instead of going to a party helped me out in this run!'

Once out of Modern Hist, I went to IPS. Once in there I looked around at the four other people in the class and noticed Cooper wasn't there.

'Hm. I guess I'll just rest my head a little if he's not here.' I said to myself as I pulled out a sweater from my bag and turned it into a temporary pillow.

"Knock knock." Someone said while knocking on my desk.

"Wha- What?" I said as I lifted my head from the pool of drool I left on the table.

"Morning girly." It was Cooper. He was sitting on the desk next to mine.

"Oh." I quickly realized the large puddle of drool on the desk and conveniently on my face. "Where were you at the beginning of class?" I said trying to wipe the drool from my face.
