Today is my first day of college. I moved across the country from California to Virginia with my best friend Maya, but other than that I'm pretty much alone here. So I was very confused this morning when I heard two voices coming from the kitchen of me and Maya's shared apartment. Obviously I went to go investigate and when I did I saw her and another girl.

"Hey Maya, can I talk to you really quick"

She rolled her eyes but ultimately walked towards me and allowed me to pull her around the corner

"Who the fuck is that, we've been here for a week and you already have a girl"

"We met last night at a bar and really hit it off, I think this one could actually be something"

"Okay as long as you're happy, just making sure she's not a serial killer.

We both went back to the kitchen and I decided to greet her, normally I wouldn't bother but if she's serious about this girl then I'll put in the effort.

"Hey my name is y/n, y/n y/l/n"

"I'm Emily, Emily Prentiss"

In order to save us from the awkwardness Maya decided to chime in, thank god.

"Y'all are so professional, anyways y/n don't you have to get ready for your class"

I got ready and I rushed outside to see that I'm blocked by one of my neighbors. Great, just what I needed to start off the day. I walk over and knock on their door and I'm greeted by a fine ass man. (Just imagine season 9 Spencer)

"Um hey, I'm your new neighbor and you're kinda blocking me in"

"Oh I'm so sorry I was just about to head out anyway give me a second"

He goes back into his house momentarily and gets his keys and what I'm assuming is his work bag and heads out to his car.

"Sorry about holding you up" he called from his window

As soon as he pulled out I ran to my car and sped to the school but I still ended up being 5 minutes late. I walk into the class and the professor is reading the syllabus. I hoped he'd be distracted and not notice my late arrival but of course that would be too good to be true

"You're late, see me after class"

he says without even looking up, I can already tell this year is going to be very interesting. I look to find a seat and of course the only one that's open is right up front and center.

After sitting down he finally looks up at me and I recognize him, that's my neighbor. We obviously recognized each other at the same time and were both frozen in a state of shock.

He did eventually shake it off and go back to what he was saying Before. I decided it would be best to look literally anywhere else so I chose the board. Upon looking I noticed a name, written in the most god awful hand writing is "Dr Spencer Reid"
