Louis sits in the sub shop beside Liam and across from Niall. He picks at his nails as he waits for Liam and Niall to finish their food. He hadn't eaten for a while, so when he got the food, he ate it relatively fast.

"Did you see the new Chemistry teacher?" Liam asks, bumping against Louis' shoulder lightly. Louis looks up, shaking his head.

"Well, they're really strict apparently."

"Good thing I'm not in that class then," Louis scoffs, causing Liam to roll his eyes, "So on a scale from one to ten?"

"Twenty," Liam answers immediately, "She came into the classroom and just started yelling at us for not having the desks perfectly spaced. We didn't even move them." Niall nods his head quickly in response, crumbling up his napkin into a ball. He licks over his lips quickly, his blue eyes flickering around the sub shop. Louis does like how the room is decorated. License plates and posters line the walls, and the whole store has a vintage sort of look. In the other room, a music store is placed, so the sounds echo into this room faintly. Liam looks in between Niall and Louis before quickly finishing his sub. Louis chuckles at his full mouth, he looks like a chipmunk.

"You look like a chipmunk," Louis laughs. Niall laughs loudly at that, and soon he is rolling around, clutching his stomach. Louis and Liam frown at him, they genuinely didn't find it that funny. Nonetheless, Niall continues to roll around on the booth seat. Louis sighs, grabbing his feet and pulling him off of the bench. Niall falls to the ground, soon adjusting himself so he is staring up at Louis with a scowl on his face.

"That wasn't very nice," He pouts. He quickly scrambles to his feet, following Louis and Liam towards the door of the restaurant. Louis shoves his hands into his sweatshirt pocket, turning to push the door open with his back. Liam and Niall step through the door, and Louis joins them soon after, the door shutting slowly behind them.

"You coming over?" Niall asks, hopping into the backseat of Liam's car. Liam jumps into the front seat while Louis jumps into the passenger seat.

"Yeah, I probably can tonight," Louis replies as he clicks his seatbelt in. Liam nods his head, letting Louis watch intently as he turns the keys in the ignition.

"Is Lottie becoming any more cooperative?" Liam asks, pulling the car out of the parking spot. Louis sighs dramatically, shaking his head annoyedly.

"No, she's still yelling so fucking much," He complains, "I mean, I understand wanting to achieve your dreams and all that, but she's just being too pushy on it."

"Has your mum decided how she is going to handle it yet?"

"No," Louis replies, watching out the window as Liam drives down the street, "I- I really have no idea what's going to happen."

"I'm sure it will turn out fine, mate," Liam says, giving Louis a sympathetic glance. His eyes look more like a puppy's eyes now more than ever. Louis nods his head, turning away from his friend's soft gaze.

"I don't want to go somewhere completely new. I'm not ready for that yet," Louis sighs.

"I think America is better than here for um, you know," Niall says from the backseat, his voice just below a whisper, "I think it was recently legalized."

"It shouldn't have to be," Louis whispers back. Liam nods his head, focusing his eyes on the road.

"Y-You could-"

"I don't want to hear it right now, Niall," Louis interrupts, "I don't want to leave." Niall sits back in the seat, and the friends fall into silence. Liam opens his mouth to say something, but soon shuts it, deciding not to speak after all.
