Snow has covered over everything in sight, a wave of cold rushing over the town, just in time for Christmas. The sun had already set, and now the only form of light was the moon that hid behind the clouds, the time being ten o'clock. Some of the lights around town have turned on, and sparkling Christmas trees can be seen through the windows of houses. Louis stands outside of Harry's door, on Christmas Eve, which is also his birthday, but it does tend to get overshadowed by Christmas. He does not mind, he is not particularly fond of attention, except for if it is from a person that is special to him. When the door swings open, he is not met with Harry, but with a tall girl, her hair a dark brown, her face plastered in layers of makeup.

"Oh," The girl frowns, "We are not going to donate to charity and we do not want a Christmas carol. And we do have security so if you try anything, we will know. I suggest you leave because no one in this house cares."

"Oh, sorry, I'll be on my way then," Louis nods his head, subtly setting Harry's present down beside the door. His throat is clenched, filled with an aching pain that begs his eyes to cry. He does not get another response, the door is just shut right in his face, blocking him from speaking to the person he wants to talk to the most. He nods his head to himself, turning away from the door and walking down the long driveway, his hands in his coat pockets. He pokes his fingers through the holes that are in the pockets of his coat, wiggles his toes around in his beaten-down converse in an attempt to stay warmer. He decides to go to Niall's house, who lives closer to Harry than he does.

He sighs as he walks down the icy sidewalk, careful not to trip, unable to stop millions of thoughts from flooding into his mind.

Harry had not expected his family to show up, the morning before Christmas. And he surely had not been prepared for it. Had not been prepared to see his mother and father and sister standing in his doorway right as he was about to jerk off. And now he has to deal with being horny, great for him. Luckily, his family had not realized what he was about to do, they had just assumed that he was- he really doesn't know what they thought.

And now he is sitting in his living room, as his mother rushes around, saying something about how she knows where the Christmas decorations are. She doesn't. Harry does, but he is not going to tell her, this stops her from pestering him about whatever she possibly can to annoy him.

"Hey boy," His father yells, his voice booming through the empty halls, "Go help your mother." Harry sighs, rolling his eyes as he stands to his feet, walking over to his mother to follow her absentmindedly.

"I swear I saw them here somewhere!" His mother exclaims as she throws open the attic door, a puff of dust swirling around with the force that she had opened the door with. Dust rises up with every footstep that is taken, because this room really has been vacant for a while. Harry stumbles around, his hands in his pockets as he looks at everything in the room. Only one thing manages to catch his eye; a small broken clock. It has stopped moving, the time has stopped, if only in accordance to this single object.

Rust has collected on the metal of the clock, the glass smeared and covered with layers upon layers of dust. Harry walks over to it, tracing his finger across the glass, dust falling off of the clock and plastering to his fingers as he does so.

"Aha! I found it!" Anne exclaims, so suddenly that Harry jumps, his finger falling forward. He gasps when he looks back towards the beautiful old clock; a crack in the glass was now displayed right by the twelve. He pulls his hand away quickly, turning towards his mother with a neutral look on his face.

"Carry these boxes," She says, "And please mind the dust." She clapped her hands together, which only further sends dust clouding into the air in front of her.
