tubbo's pov

whoa, what the hell tubbo? you met her yesterday? don't tell me you're catching feelings for her already. as I watched her walk around and look at the different flowers, my mind confirmed what i didn't want to be true.

"hey, tubbo! come here and look at this flower." she called to me, pulling me out of my thoughts. "this is a crocus. they're very pretty." she looked up at me and smiled sweetly.

my first thought was to call her pretty in response, but i resisted that urge.

"for some reason, these remind me of you. i think that crocuses are just your flower." she giggled and stood back up from her crouching position.

"maybe they are." i smiled weakly at her.

"i kinda wanna skip school." she said as she sat down on the grass. she set her legs down in front of her and played with the grass.

"i totally want to, don't get me wrong, but george would kill you and so would my mom." i responded. she sighed and nodded. "but i guess it wouldn't hurt to stay here for a little longer." i knew it would make her happy.

she smiled at me happily. "let me put on some music." she pulled out her phone and pulled up spotify to find a playlist. the first song that played was 'as the world caves in'.

when she recognised the song her face fell. "oh hell naw." she said, quickly changing the song. "it makes me really sad." she explained, probably knowing that i was confused.

we hung out for a few more minutes before deciding to go to our classes. she had math and i had english. we parted ways and planned to meet up during lunch.

y/n's pov

i skipped to my class. i was glad that i had met tubbo, he was becoming one of my best friends already. and the same deal with ranboo. he was a very cool person. i could see why alice liked him so much. i was definitely going to have to get alice on a call with them.

i rushed to math and the time seemed to go so slowly for the day before lunch.

my class before lunch finally ended. i rushed out and walked over to the picnic table that we sat at yesterday. i waited for a few minutes until alice walked out.

"hi alice!" i called out as she walked towards me. she crossed her arms and fake pouted. i laughed and looked to the side to see tubbo also walking out of the doors.

i smiled. they both reached the table quickly and we started having a conversation. we were laughing hysterically, having a lot of fun. after a few minutes of playing around, i saw that the popular girls were walking over to us.

jeanette, the lead mean girl, was leading them as always. the girls at this school had seemed to take a liking to tubbo already, even though he was mostly quiet and kept to himself.

"hello, toby." jeanette said, obviously trying to seduce him or something.

i rolled my eyes. "oh, hi y/n and alice." she sneered. "you don't want to hang out with these losers, trust me." she glanced us up and down with a disgusted face. me and alice looked at each, unbothered.

"can you please go away? i was having a nice conversation with y/n and alice and you interrupted it, jeanette." tubbo responded, sounding annoyed and irritated. i glanced up at jeanette. i then moved my eyes towards tubbo.

"okay, feisty." i sighed and flinched, knowing where this was headed. me and alice looked at each other, both of us worried. we didn't know what to do. i glanced down at my phone.

i texted george frantically.

george you have to call me rn

it's an emergency

tubbo will take the phone, just pretend to talk to him please

just please call immediately

the phone rang. i smiled softly. i picked it up. "hello? ... yeah, tubbo is here. ... you want him on? yeah of course, i can do that. here tubbo, it's george." i made up words.

george wasn't actually talking to me or him, i just needed an excuse to get jeanette away. i handed the phone to tubbo and mouthed, 'don't hang up until they're all gone.' he nodded, signaling that he knew what to do.

jeanette eventually got tired of waiting and walked away annoyed. i grabbed the phone back. "thank you, george. sorry about that. bye." i said into the phone and hanging up the call that had been going on for 7 minutes.

"sorry about that. it wouldn't have ended well if i hadn't called george." i stated.

"oh, that's okay." tubbo replied. "i wonder if we could call tommy? i think he's at home today, and he isn't streaming right now."

"oh, that sounds fun! tommy's a pretty nice kid." i responded.

"yeah, he seems like it." alice said, focusing on eating her food.

"yeah he's nice. he's a lot more chill off stream though, trust me." tubbo said.

"yeah i figured." alice nodded in agreement.

tubbo pulled out his phone and called tommy.

tommy answered after a few long seconds.

"what's up tubbo?"

"just hanging out with my homies." tubbo joked, bursting into laughter.

tommy snorted and looked away from the phone.

he looked back and his eyes were searching the screen. "so, y/n and alice, right?"

"uh, yeah! i'm y/n." i said, smiling and then looking back at alice.

"yep i'm alice." she set her head down and rested there.

we all noticed the uncomfortable silence that filled the call.

"so, uh-" tubbo started.

"what should we talk about?" i finished.
