"Up, Bug. We have an important meeting." Dad told me, gently shaking me awake.

"Dad, I barely got any sleep last night... Let me go to sleep early like a grandma, please." I kept my eyes closed and rolled over on my side, facing away from my father.

Jasper and I had apparated only hours before back to our father's house from America and due to the time change, the two of us needed sleep.

We spent the summer with our mother and her fiancé , JJ, along with our adoptive brother, JD, and though it was the most fun Jaz and I had had in a while, the way mom wasn't acting felt super off. It was almost like she was kissing up to us, letting us do whatever we wanted and basically taking the reigns off us completely. Sometimes Jasper and I would wake to hear JJ and mom talking about something during the night, but we could never pry it out of them in the mornings.

"It's Potter. He's been put out for expulsion. He'll be awaiting trial soon." Severus's words perked up my ears and I sprung up in my bed. "We need to get to 12 Grimmauld Place for an Order meeting."

"Order?" I asked as my dad began to walk out, not paying attention to me, his child. "But what about Harry?"

"Tonks and Moody, along with a few others are picking him up as we speak. Get dressed and come down stairs while I wake your brother. Grab your trunk too, I assume you'll want to stay once you see who's there."

I groaned and rolled over in my bed as my father exited the room. School hadn't even started and things were already going south for my best friend.

I threw my stuff together quickly and called Harry on the phone more than five times, each with no answer, before I finally gave up.

Pansy and Maribeth were blowing up my phone, asking me to hang out at Pansy's house one more time before the summer was over since the three of us hadn't gotten together at all during our holiday months, but I ignored their calls and their texts, the only thing looming in my mind being Harry.

Once ready and downstairs, awaiting my father and brother, I couldn't help but anxiously pace the living room.

Jasper, where the hell are you?! I spoke telepathically to my brother.

Quit your yapping, I'm coming now. His voice rang loudly in my mind.

I heard sluggish footsteps trudging down the stairs. Emerging like a nocturnal beast, Jasper walked up to me with messy hair and a cup of coffee in his hands, patting me on the head.
