March 9, two children were born.
"Twins?"
Jasper first, then Brianna, two minutes apart. Son and Daughter of Severus Snape and Emily Prentiss. The two children, products of one too many nights spent.
While on a trip to America to teach a semester at Ilvermorny, Severus found himself captivated by the Herbology professor.
Pure-blood, Emily Prentiss, Herbology professor and head of Thunderbird house, she too found herself enthralled by Severus and soon enough, the two had a set of twins to take care of.
Though their relationship didn't go directly as planned, Emily and Severus made it a point to get along and co-parent, even if their version of getting along wasn't exactly traditional.
"So that's the deal?" Severus asked the woman.
"I'll raise them with JJ until age 11, then they'll go to you in London and start school at Hogwarts." Emily looked to her children who were beginning to walk.
And the split up couple did just that.
Emily and her new partner, a Half-blood Healer, named Jennifer, or JJ, raised the twins together, giving them childhoods to remember. The twins always got along, only ever arguing over silly things, like toys.
The twins were always encouraged to embrace the muggle world, participating in their festivities like music and sports.
At around age 8, though, is when the parents began having issues.
Jasper's so annoying. Brianna thought, huffing because her brother wouldn't allow them a turn.
"What'd you say?" Jasper asked, not taking his eyes off his video game.
Brianna gasped and shook her brother's shoulders. "Jasper! Look at me!"
The boy looked into his sibling's eyes with a confused expression and listened while she thought.
Can you hear me? They thought and Jasper jolted back.
"You didn't move your mouth! How'd you do that?!"
"I don't know! You try it!" She encouraged and the boy focused.
You stink at softball. He thought.
Brianna threw a pillow at him. "That's not nice! I'm better at it than you are a baseball!"
Jasper grabbed his sister's shoulders with a crazed smile plastered on his lips.
"Do you know what this means?!" He asked.
We can talk to each other through thought! Brianna answered through her mind and Jasper hugged her tightly.
We're going to have so much fun!
And they did just that. No matter where they were, the two of them found something to talk about and their parents never knew.
