My breathing was slow and steady. I felt undeniably calm. The room was dark, but I knew my surroundings. There was someone near me, I could feel them, but I couldn't tell who they were. Even without the knowing who was at my side, I still felt safe, like I was being protected.

"You won't have her." Said the person beside me. "I won't let you."

Their arms wrapped around my shoulders as they shielded me from whoever they were yelling towards.

That's when another presence could be felt. Something dark, something... Evil

"Oh, my dear boy, give them up! She's not worth keeping around!" Someone else scolded who was holding me tight.

"Listen to your father," The sinister voice was raspy and low, "and hand your sweetness over, Draco."

I should have been shocked, but I wasn't. The person protecting me was Draco Malfoy? And even in knowing that the people around were Lucius and Draco, the feeling of utter security in the arms of the boy I had hated basically all my life didn't cease, but instead grew stronger.

Draco's wrap around my body tightened as he sheltered me. "You won't take them from me!"

"The Dark Lord will kill you, Draco." They were my words, but it didn't feel like I was saying them. I felt like I was having an out of body experience, but one thing stuck out to me, and it also sent forth a pit in my stomach.

Voldemort was the vile voice I heard and it was him who was the unsettling presence.

"I won't give you up." The light finally broke through, as if I had had my eyes closed for the entirety of the time. It was still dim around me, but I could see Draco's face as clear as day. "I won't just let them have you!"

"You'll die, and I won't let that happen." Once again, it felt as if it wasn't me who was speaking. It was my voice and my mouth was moving, but why would I be caught in that situation in the first place.

"It doesn't matter, Brianna. I'd do anything to make sure you're safe." Draco's cold fingers brushed against the skin of my face as he cupped my cheeks lovingly. "And that truly means anything."

My eyes shot open while my heart thundered in my chest. The room around me was still dark, only illuminated by the small alarm clock on Draco's bedside table and the moon. 2:57 A.M. it read.

The faint snores of Draco could be heard from beside me. Like, right beside me. It was then the I realized how we were laying. Draco was laying on his side, one of his legs tossed over mine and one of his arms encasing me in a tight hold.
