_____________

a few seconds after the brunette had stopped singing, the crowd of drunken teenagers that had gathered around them, erupted into cheers. george didn't expect this to happen seeing as most the people infront of him, never really liked him all that much.

"thankyouu," harvey screamed through laughs, the other boys doing the same.

before they stopped altogether, the group played a few cover songs, which the crowd enjoyed just as much as the first song.

once they had finally finished, the brunette smiled before placing his guitar back into its case, and putting the microphone he had been supplied with off to the side. as expected, the crowd dispersed around the room as soon as the music stopped, returning to their original positions.

the music being played on the radio was also put back on, although it was slightly louder than before. george picked his case up and walked to harvey who was a few steps behind him, and was currently counting the money they'd been paid for the small gig.

"you did great!" harvey grinned, embracing the boy before him for a moment.

"so did you!" george smiled, leaning into the hug.

harveys facial expressions somehow looked different than usual. his eyes were filled with more need, more lust.

before the smaller boy knew what was happening, a hand was carefully placed on his cheek. george looked up, to see harvey but inches away from his face, his face instantly turned a dark crimson colour.

"h-harve-," the brunette began, but was cut off by the boy infront of him being pushed backwards onto the floor by another being..

george stepped back momentarily, before spinning on his heel to see who had pushed his friend. although the brunette was very thankful he was now out of that situation, he couldn't help but think that was a bit of an overreaction.

before him stood the blonde, his face illuminated by strobe lights, that were glowing a darker blue colour.

"clay why did you do that?" george questioned, turning his head momentarily to check on his friend, who was now propped up on his elbows, clutching the back of his head.

the teen he was addressing didn't say anything in response, just stood there, hands clenched into fists.

"dude, what the hell," george scoffed, growing increasingly annoyed at his lack of communication.

although, he only stayed silent once again, his green eyes piercing gaze staying set upon the brunette before him.

the male shook his head at the boy, about to turn on his heel once more and help his friend back up, he muttered, "i can't believe you clay,".

before he could take another step, the blonde wrapped his hand around the back of the teens neck, pulling him closer so that his warm breath was fanning down his neck.

his free hand wrapped itself around the boys waist, pulling the flustered boy even closer than he already was. before speaking, clay looked down at the boy now so close to him, and he couldn't help but thinking how complete he felt in that moment.

"george, just shut up and kiss me already," the blonde hummed, his words barely loud enough to hear as he edged closer.

before george had the chance to say anything in reply, their lips had connected, body's pushed up against each other.

harvey could be heard getting up from the floor, but the pair ignored it, not thinking about him at all. the hand on the back of the brunettes neck moved upwards, tangling itself in his mess of hair, pulling his head back slightly to grant him more access.

george smiled into the kiss, ignoring his contrasted feelings as clay reluctantly pulled away, not wanting to cause too much of a scene.

the smaller boy sighed before melting into the younger boys touch. this heart warming moment was soon cut short by an angered harvey harshly questioning, "dude what the fuck,", his eyes trained upon clay.

the blondes head turned upwards to look back at the teen, a pleased smirk tugging at his lips, as he pulled himself away from george, sauntering over to harvey.

"what?" the male smirked proudly, having to project his voice more, so that he could hear him over the still blaring music.

a few gazes were now stuck on them, eager for another mean of entertainment, but they ignored it, too focused on something else.

"you knew i liked him," harvey spoke into the boys ear, not wanting george to become aware of their conversation.

"and you knew i liked him, so what's the problem?" clay inquired with a smile plastered upon his face, looking the boy up and down judgementally.

"the problem is, you think of this as a game, not something serious," harvey spat at the boy, grimacing as he looked up at him.

"sure," the blonde smiled before shoving past him and making his way back over to george, the argument not bringing his mood down at all.

______

just as the pair were about to leave, a hand on georges shoulder caused them both to come to a halt. an unfamiliar voice came from behind him saying, "hey, you're george right?".

the brunette and blonde turned around before muttering, "yeah?", slightly annoyed that they had to come to a halt seeing as they were just reaching the door.

"well, i'm alex, and i've gotta say i loved your music, and i was hoping you'd be able to perform at my place next sunday?" the now slightly more familiar man inquired hopefully.

"well i- uh yeah, how many songs?" george implored, even though he was fully aware he had only finished one song and had two that were half finished.

"two if that's ok?" alex questioned, a wide smile on his face.

"sure," george sighed, knowing he was going to have to work on lyrics and chords all week because of this.

"okay thankyou so much, i'll get the address to you some time this week," alex smirked before disappearing back into the drunken crowd.

it was late by now, so the boys carried on their walk to the car which was parked at the side of the road outside of the house.
