once they arrived at the recording studio, george got his guitar out from one of the racks and began to set it up in the corner whilst the others conversed.

lunch lasted for an hour, so they still had a while left.

a few of the boys had came up with the final lyrics on the previous night, giving them a few too choose from.

in the end the whole group agreed that Harvey's were better. for the remainder of lunch, george came up with the chords for it, adrian practiced getting it in sync with the drums and harvey played the chords george had came up with on his bass guitar.

the brunette usually sung aswell as playing guitar, so nick was left sort to just help out wherever he could.

by the time they had finished all that, it was nearing the end of lunch and they all packed their stuff up so they could go to their next classes.

they had completely forgotten about Clay.

all of them had english next which was never the most enjoyable class. george ended up being slightly late seeing as he had to go to his locker first.

"why are you late?" the teacher snapped as he entered the room.

"had to-," the brunette began, but was cut off by him saying, "sit,".

george did so and sat down in his assigned seat. less than a few seconds after he had done so, the teacher declared , "we are going to be switching your seating plan up seeing as someone isn't paying attention,".

george rolled his eyes, he currently sat next to Sapnap and Harvey so he didn't really care about where the discourteous blonde was going to be seated.

"clay could you switch places with... nick?" the teacher questioned, well near enough demanded.

why couldn't he sit somewhere else? why was he everywhere he went recently?

george groaned as nick moved away and clay replaced him. "don't act like im any happier to see you," the blonde scowled, moving his chair as far away as possible.

"fuck you" the brunette spat in a hushed tone, knowing the other wouldn't do anything seeing as they were in class.

"yeah im sure you'd love to," clay chuckled irritably, glancing up to the teen momentarily, his gaze lingering a moment too long for comfort.

"trust me, he wouldn't," harvey retorted, glaring at the blonde. if looks could kill then without a doubt clay would be six feet under.

"jealous are we?".

"so what if i am clay?".

"guys can you actually shut up?" george suggested, growing tired of the conversation.

neither of the boys replied, but they continued to glower at eachother. every now and then, clays eyes would meet georges accidentally and they would force themselves to look away as fast as possible.

for some reason george was starting to realise more things about clay.

the way his hair became golden under the suns influence. how intricate the colours in his bloodshot eyes were.

mentally, the brunette cursed himself out for having such thoughts about the boy he hated most.

the remainder of the class was tedious and mostly spent in a complete awkward silence.

thankfully, they only had one more class until the end of the school day. he had science which wasn't really his most liked class.

once that was also over, george rushed to his locker to collect his belongings, hoping he wouldn't miss the bus. after getting his guitar from the recording studio, he practically ran outside to where the bus was still stationary.

the male sighed in relief as he boarded the vehicle, his tense shoulders also relaxing. while walking past the first row, his gaze flickered to a certain blonde who was surprisingly staring back. as soon as they made eye contact a scowl appeared on his face.

george shuddered under his gaze, as much as he hated him, he still craved validation from him.

hurrying his pace, he finally reached the back of the bus, where all his friends were sat. he practically collapsed into the only free seat.

concern laced in his voice, harvey inquired, "you alright georgie?".

the male merely nodded, his thoughts overpowered by the boy he hated most.
