_______________

it didn't take long before the noise of banging on the front door became apparent. harvey groaned in annoyance, before reluctantly getting up from the bed and walking out the room and down the hallway.

the banging stopped soon and the noise of distant chattering could be heard from down the hall. before george even had time to prop himself up properly on his elbows, the rest of group burst through the door.

when sapnaps gaze set upon george on the bed, he questioned with a suggestive smirk, "you two weren't fucking or something were you?".

"shut upp nickk," the brunette muttered as he flung a pillow in his friends direction.

the ravenette laughed in response, sitting at the bed with adrian beside him.

"what do you wanna do?" adrian inquired in a quiet tone , which made everyone else happy he was now talking more.

"i don't know , band practice , listen to music , the normal shit we do," harvey shrugged, leaning against the headboard behind him.

sapnap asked from the end of the bed, "where are your parents anyway?".

"went away for their anniversary," harvey confirmed.

nick hummed in approval, before turning to adrian to begin a conversation.

over the blaring music, you could somewhat hear a telephone ringing in the corridor, so george murmured, "i think there's a phone ringing?".

harvey stood up and walked to the hallway to see who was calling them, once there, he picked the phone up from the wall and questioned, "hello?".

"is this harvey?" the voice on the other end snapped.

"yes, who's this?" harvey inquired, not able to recognise the voice.

"clay," the now familiar voice confirmed.

"what do you want clay," the teen boy retorted.

"my mates holding a party on friday, we need a band and you're the only person i know,".

"how much money do we get and we will consider it," harvey laughed, in disbelief with what he was hearing.

"two hundred for all of you," the blonde stated before hanging up the phone.

"GUYS!" the teen screeched as soon as he'd slammed the phone back against the wall, whilst he ran back towards the room his friends were in.

"huh?" the group hummed, looking away from eachother.

"WE'RE PERFORMING AT ONE OF CLAYS FRIENDS HOUSES ON SATURDAY,".

everyone's jaws dropped agape as they began smiling uncontrollably, getting up from the bed to join harvey by the door.

still in awe, sapnap inquired, "how much are we getting paid?".

"two hundred to share," he grinned back, turning to george momentarily, his eyes noticeably softening at the sight of his friend.

"oh my god," george grinned.

___

a few hours later, they had practiced their song and listened to some music, and they were at last getting fairly tired.

"i'm going to sleep," nick yawned, rubbing his eyes.

everyone else agreed, before leaving the garage where they had been practicing and making their way towards the teens room.

there was already a mattress lay out on the floor, which sapnap and adrian practically fell onto, leaving the other two with the bed.

george slipped under the covers of the duvet, closest as possible to the edge of the bed. he always had his suspicions of harvey liking him. the little comments he'd make, how flustered he became at small interactions, little things like that. he wasn't willing to test the theory, so he created as much space as possible between the two.

"goodnight," the brunette muttered through a yawn.

| morning |

the room became engulfed in sunshine, the golden beams flooding through the blinds beside the window. birds warbled peacefully outside the window, their song awakening the boys inside the room.

"goodmorning," harvey mumbled his limbs tangled together with the brunettes.

"g'd morning," george yawned, not noticing their position because of his tired state.

"yoo where's my good morning?" nick chuckled as he pulled the blanket off of the bed and onto him and adrian.

the boys on the bed groaned in annoyance, before harvey glanced over to the digital clock on the bedside table.

"SHIT," harvey screamed as he jumped up from the bed and ran to his closet.

"what?" the ravenette questioned, propping himself up with his elbows.

"it's 9:46," the teen huffed in response, pulling on some far too oversized jeans.

within a few moments, everyone had leapt from their
mattresses, and were struggling to get dressed into whatever clothes they could find, cursing under their breaths.

after they had changed, they didn't bother brushing their teeth because of how late they were, so instead they rushed towards the front door.

they obviously hadn't thought this through well enough, seeing as they currently had no way of getting to their school, which was many miles away, and would be calling their parents if they were any later.

"how the fuck are we getting to school," nick screeched.

the ravenette glanced over to george, who was particularly quiet, only to see his gaze stuck on something in the far end of the driveway.

harvey noticed what the two were looking at it and instantly exclaimed, "there is no way we are taking that, my dad would kill me!".

now that everyone was looking at the vehicle, george cried, "c'mon man this our only option,".

"i've only drove like once!" harvey shouted, running his hands through his hair because of stress.

"then i'll drive it," nick offered, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips.

"LIKE HELL YOU ARE," the teen shouted in response, before walking hastily towards the vehicle with the rest of the group following eagerly.

everyone loaded into the vehicle, harvey and george in the front, adrian and sapnap squashed into the back.

"we are gonna look so cool," nick grinned uncontrollably as the engine started.

"the coolest," george smiled, turning around to look at the pair in the back.

whilst pulling off of the driveway and onto the road, harvey scolded, "stop talking, you'll make me crash!".

the boys giggled in response, forgetting about how late they actually were for school.
