She held him till she was sure he was dead, she wiped the tears off her face with the back of her sleeves, and took a pen and paper, and wrote, "It's done," then watched as it slowly burned away in her hands, the warmth surrounding her fingertips, but she only felt cold and hallow. She walked out of his room, washing off his blood, acting as normal as possible, but how can she act normal when she just killed him. "Was it worth it?" she thought to herself.
Walking past the guards was a piece of cake, they did not suspect a thing, she could see light coming from the main entrance, as she walked fastly her wings out and ready, but the king was standing in front of the entrance out of nowhere, gripping the sword tightly, his eyes filled with anger and fury.
"How dare you take my family away from me!" he yelled, rushing towards her, sword held high, Astoria dodged the first blow, quickly unsheathe her sword, cutting some of her dress's cloth in the process, the king flings his sword again, and this time Astoria didn't doge it, defended herself with the sword, then attacked the king with her powers, firing flames directly at his rib, making him fly back, hitting the wall,
"I don't want to hurt you," she warned.
"But I do," he growled, running towards her once again, raising his sword, as Astoria dogged him with ease, not attacking back just dodging and attacking when she needed, she felt bad for him, he lost his wife and son within a day,
"You don't want to do this," she said, getting exhausted with dodging him,
"You don't know what I want, you murderer," he snapped, panting with exhaustion, as he ran towards her again and again.
"You're just like your mother," he chuckled, " Who knew the apple doesn't fall far from the tree,"
"What do you mean?" she frowned,
"Your mother killed your father, the one she loved most and the man that cared for her dearly," Astoria's eyes began to water, but she tried to hold it back, " She killed the man she loved,"
"I don't believe you," she whispered, Diane used to tell her stories of their mother, she was kind and gentle, she never raised her voice at anyone, she would never kill an innocent, let alone the person she loved. But who was she to judge, she had never met the lovely Queen of Elysium.
"Believe it or not, she killed him, she slit his throat in his sleep and let him bleed dry."
"It's not true, she would never do that," she whispered to herself,
"How would you know what she would and wouldn't do, you never even met her," he laughed, cruelly.
"I don't believe you," she repeated summoning the flames boiling beneath her skin, balls of fire emerged in the palm of her hands,
"STOP it both of you!" a voice boomed, Astoria snapped her head towards the source of the voice, it was a beautiful woman, she had radiant pale skin, her wavy red hair ran down to her waist, her navy blue eyes glimmered with life, Beautiful white feathered wings stuck to her back, she looked like a real angel, "Mum?" Astoria frowned, letting the sword slip from her hand, crashing the floor with a thud,
"Hello, Astoria,"
