Chapter 10

The day passed and it was night when Bondita was arranging Aniruddh's bed outside...under the night sky.
Aniruddh was busy observing plants with a magnifying glass
'Bondita idhar aao, jaldi'
He said while looking on the ground.
Bondita: 'Kyaa hai Pati Babu, ek toh raat ko magnifying glass lekar ghoom rhe hein aap, upar se mujhe bhi pareshan kar rhe hein. Saare ulte kaam aap hi ke dimag mein kyu aate hein?' she said while keeping a pillow and spreading the bedsheet a little bit more.
'Arree....Bondita vigyaan ki duniya mein saare adbhut aavishkaar ulti samajh se hi hue hein aur aao toh....bahut sundar cheez dikhaunga, Shotti!'
Bondita paved towards him & stood along...she asked in an annoyed tone 'Kyaa hai?
'Bondita isse dekho, vhaan niche jhaadiyon mein... Thodi gehraayi mein dekhna'
Bondita took the magnifying glass in her hand and saw that there were two fireflies (Jugnoo) trapped between dense bushes.
'Jugnoo' she screamed with extreme joy and happiness...
Aniruddh: 'Haaan, khaa tha na? bahut sundar cheez dikhaunga'
Bondita: 'Kitne sundar hein Pati Babu ye lekin...'
Aniruddh: 'Lekin..?'
Bondita: 'Aapko nahi lagta ye in ghani jhaadiyon mein fas gye hein, hum bahar nikal dein inhein?'
Aniruddh: Bondita jugnoo din ke samay aksar aisi jhaadiyon mein chup jate hein aur raat mein bahar aa jate hein. Lekin agar ye Dono bahar nahi aaye iska matlab ye bhi toh ho sakta hai inhein ek dusre ke sath hi rehna ho?'
Aniruddh took a pause and said
'Bonditaaaaa.... Ho sakta hai ye vhaan romance....'
Bondita looked at him with surprised expressions.
Aniruddh realised what he just uttered abruptly. How stupid he is!
He was thinking.
How can he commit such grave mistakes in front of Bondita?
Situation became awkward between them and Bondita immediately went back towards his bed and started moving her hands on the bedsheet. He also avoided her gaze and went towards the pot kept for water.
She was smiling at his foolishness but then went inside to avoid the awkward situation.
Aniruddh too was trying to identify how such words came out from his mouth? What would Bondita be thinking about him?
Bondita slept peacefully but Aniruddh was little amazed at himself and his whole night went away fighting with the mosquitoes around.
(Poor Aniruddh! 🤭)

But in the midnight, Bondita woke up & kept a lavender plant near his bed to keep the mosquitoes away. 💞😉

Next Morning, Aniruddh was folding his bedsheet and keeping things inside the house when Bondita came back with clothes in her hand along with some village ladies.
All the ladies were looking at Aniruddh & a lady said to Bondita.
'Ek baat kahein, choti malkin?'
Bondita: 'Kahiye na Kaaki'
Lady: Zarur moti daan kiye honge aapne pichle janam mein jo aaj heere jaisa pati paaya hai.
Bondita smiled looking at Aniruddh.
Aniruddh was busy in himself and he didn't noticed anybody.
Second Lady: aur nahi toh kyaa Bondita beti, aurat ko rishton mein tyaag karte toh sab hi ne dekha hai lekin koi Pati apni Patni ke liye itna kuch karein, pehli baar dekha hai.
Bondita was smiling and adoring her 'Sansaar' but again the thought that WHY he is doing all this came into her mind.

Aniruddh suddenly noticed her, his glance brought her out of her Dreamland and then she waved everyone a goodbye.
Bondita approached Aniruddh and stood near him.
Aniruddh: 'kyaa hua? Bada muskura rahi thi tum...aur baki auratein'
Bondita: aapki hi taareef kar rhi thi sab.
Vhaan Snaanghar mein bhi sab aapka bahut aabhaar prakat kar rhi thi, keh rhi thi ki kabhi samne se keh nahi payi aapse lekin vo shukrguzaar hein jo aapne is gaaon mein saarvajanik Shochalya aur Snaanghar banvaya hai.'

Aniruddh smiled and said...
'Bondita, ye sab isiliye hua kyunki tum mujhe himmat deti aayi ho. Vaise in sab ke baad, yhaan aur aaspaas ke gaon ke bachchon ke liye school banwana hai Bondita. Bachche bta rhe the ki yhaan jo school hai, vhaan abhi bhi Ladkiyon ko padhne ki ijaazat nahi hai aur vo kaafi chota bhi hai.'
Bondita: Toh kyaa socha hai aapne is baare mein?
Aniruddh: Kaka se baat ki thi maine, unhone kha tha ki Nadi ke us paar hamari ek zameen hai. Kaafi saalon se banjar hai toh hum logon ne us par dhyan hi nhii diya. Kaka keh rhe the ki main us zameen ko dekhta aaun, agar mujhe vo uchit lagegi toh vo use hamare istemaal ke liye de denge.
Bondita: Thik hai, main Maa ke sath nashta tayyaar kar deti hun. Aap naha kar aayiye, fir Mai aur aap sath chalenge us paar, nashta karke.
Aniruddh nodded and went.
