Chapter 23

Next Morning,
Bondita woke up with a bright smile and moved towards her cupboard and then looked for yellow banrasi saree but she wasn't able to find it, then she observed that her pink cotton saree is also missing.
Actually they were kept at the top layer and Aniruddh took both the sarees without applying his brain as he has to rush back.

Bondita thought that she must have given them for washing or ironing so she ignored the incident and took out another saree for herself.
She got ready, followed her morning routine and met Aniruddh & Somnath during the breakfast.
She thought Aniruddh must be either angry at her for using the word 'love' between them or he might be feeling awkward enough but to her surprise Aniruddh was normal, he even passed a smile to her
(Actually he was more worried about Som)

Aniruddh and Somnath were sitting together, they were continuously whispering how to tell everybody the truth, or they should reveal it or not?
'Kyaa khusur-phusur lga rakhi hai Som-Aniruddh?'
Kaka asked them while reading his newspaper... Bondita who was wiping the plates and Binoy who was reading his English Newspaper moved their eyes towards the brothers.
'Kuch nahi Kaka... Hum toh bas yahi baat kar rhe the ki aaj Batuk nahi aaya nashta karne?' Said Aniruddh in reply.
'Batuk ka Dost apne vyaapaar ke liye Darjeeling ja rha hai Pati Babu, Batuk bas usi se milne gya hai...bas abhi aata hi hoga' said Bondita.
Meanwhile Sampurna and Koyeli came with the breakfast &served everybody.

Som and Aniruddh were continuously staring each other. 'Dada apna thodha khana doge mujhe?' asked Som in low voice.
Aniruddh: 'Mera khana kyun chahiye tumhe Som? Aur chahiye toh maang lo na.. '
Som: Meri thali mein pehle se hi 2 Koraishutir Kachuri (Bengali Kachoris made up of peas) hein Dada aur Sampurna Maa aur Boudi jaanti hein ki main 2 se zyada Kachuri nahi kha pata.
Aniruddh: Toh?
Som: Toh agar maine aur maangi aur inhein lekar kamre mein gya toh unhein shaq nahi ho jayega...? Charvi ko bhi toh bhookh lag rahi hogi na Dada? He said making a cute innocent face.
Aniruddh asked Bondita for one more Kachuri and Bondita served him.
Aniruddh then gave that Kachuri to Som and said to him 'Mere khane par nazar mat lagana tum! Ab jaao.... Koi bahana maar kar Charvi ko ye de aao'
Som realised that his Dada is very smart and would not share his food with him.
He then said to everyone,
'Mujhe kamre mein kuch files padhni hein... Main vahi jakar naashta kar lunga'
Saying this he ran away without giving a chance to anybody to raise questions.
Anirudh felt relieved after Som succeeded in escaping.

After Breakfast,

Aniruddh being careful that nobody is noticing him knocked at Som's Room 'Som, Darvaza kholo main hun!' .
Som opened the door for him after listening to his voice.
Aniruddh entered the room and Som closed the door again. Aniruddh took a long deep breath.
'Tumhari Boudi se aur sach nahi chupa sakta main Som'
'Dada bas kuch samay aur do... Main aur Charvi yahi baat kar rhe the ki kaise batayenge sabko'

Aniruddh then looked at Charvi who was wearing Bondita's saree.
Aniruddh took out some money from his wallet and asked Charvi to come near him.
'Som, chalo Charvi ke sath milkar paier chuo mere' Aniruddh said in teasing tone...
Som was confused but then he touched Aniruddh's feet along with Charvi.
Aniruddh then said to Charvi,
'Vaise toh tum dono se paier nahi chuaata main lekin main jaanta hun...agar Kaka aur Bondita yhaan hote toh riwazo ka paalan karne ko kehte.... Mujhe zyada toh nahi pta in sab cheezon ke baare mein lekin itna pta hai ki ghar ki nav-vadhu sab ke paier chukar aashirvaad aur neg leti hai'
He handed that money in Charvi's hand and kept his hand on her head in order to bless her as elder brother-in-law.
Som was overwhelmed at Aniruddh's gesture and smiled at him.

Aniruddh looked at Som 'Haan... Jaanta hun thodha zyada bhavuk kaam kar diya hai maine lekin ab tum rone mat lagna!'
But instead of crying Som hugged Aniruddh, 'Dada! Aap bahut achche ho, bahut bahut bahut achche! '
'Tumhari Boudi bhi yahi kehti hai Som...lekin agar zyada din maine usse ye baat chupayi na? Toh rooth jayegi vo, sath hi uska dil tutega vo alag'
Som broked the hug... 'Dada, Sorry meri vajah se aapko ye baat Boudi se chupani pad rahi hai! '

Aniruddh: Tumhaari koi galati nahi hai Som, lekin mujhe darr is baat ka hai ki kahin Bondita, Charvi ko galat na samajh le! Uske man ke ghav kahi ubhar kar na aa jaye!
Mere upar us zehar ke parinaam dekh kar, Bondita ke man mein mujhe kho dene ka ek ajeeb sa darr baith gya tha jo shayad aaj bhi hai'
Som abruptly said, 'lekin vo toh zindagi bhar rahega na Dada..! Boudi PYAAR jo karti hein aapse'

Aniruddh listened to Som's words but he wasn't able to recognize how should he react?
What is love? Does Bondita love him?
Kyaa kisi ko kho Dene ka Darr pyaar hai? What Som & others can see between him & Bondita, which he himself has not recognised yet?

He immediately came back to his senses & Som also realised that he shouldn't have spoken something like this...

Som: Mera matlab tha Dada, aap aur Boudi toh dil se jude hue ho.... Ek dusre ki chitna toh hogi hi aur fir use kho dene ka darr bhi toh lga hi rehta hai na...?!?!

Aniruddh: 'Som, is samay tum Charvi ko na kho do, humein is baat par gaur karna chahiye.
Ye socho.....Ki kaise bataana hai sabko ye sach' he was now serious.

'Dada, main chali jati hun na sabke saamne. Jo hoga dekha jayega!' Said Charvi.

Aniruddh and Som looked at her and then thought that today or tomorrow they have to reveal everything to everybody... Why not today itself?
But little they were aware that someone was listening to their conversations standing outside at the door.
