07. Mysterious Inside

I woke up again in a place surrounded by burning fires, I tried to get up, when I got up I felt a same tremendous pain in my shoulder. "Aaarrgh... it hurts so much..."

"Isn't it hurts? I can help you get rid of the pain."

I heard that weird voice again, which kept saying it would take away my pain. But somehow I can't trust that voice. "No... leave me..."

"How long are you gonna make me wait? Give me that little present and let me out of here...."

"Shut up... stop talking... aaargh..." I'm trying to ignore that voice, but the pain is getting worse.

Beomgyu opened his eyes wide, panting and sweat in his face, waking up from that strange dream again. He got out of bed and held his shoulder. But he was confused, usually if the dream comes to his sleep, he would felt the incredible pain in his shoulder. That dream usually comes when Beomgyu is anxious or afraid. He started having those dreams since he and his family went to a carnival overseas, when he was six.

From that moment on, Beomgyu's body and health became unstable. Beomgyu is very easily ill and it would be worse if the dream were coming in his sleep. He even started avoiding seeing himself in the mirror. Because sometimes he feels the reflection he sees in the mirror it's not him, it'll make him feel afraid and anxious that the dream will come in his sleep.

In his unstable condition, Beomgyu's mom became very protective. She'll even forbid her son to leave the house except for school. She'll always keep her son close by. That's the reason why Beomgyu being avoided by his schoolmates. They didn't't want to be near Beomgyu, his mom will scold them if something happens to Beomgyu.

Beomgyu immediately left his room and looked for his mom to tell her what happened to him. He found his mom busy in the kitchen preparing a lot of food.

"Mom, why are you cooking so much?"

"Later in the afternoon, we will go to Grandma Jung's house."

"Grandma Jung? what's wrong mom? Do you still want to scold Soobin and Byeol?"

"No, I want to meet Soobin's parents. I haven't seen them in a long time." Beomgyu's mom saw something strange in Beomgyu's expression "What happened? Did you get that dream again?" Beomgyu's mom approached her son directly, see if there's any pain in his shoulder. But when Beomgyu shook his head, his mother held his son tightly.

Beomgyu and his mother arrived at grandma Jung's house. Grandma was so happy to welcome them.

"Good afternoon, Aunt Jung, I'm sorry I haven't come to see you in a long time."

"It's okay, Yuna-ah, you and your husband must be very busy."

"Good afternoon, Grandma."

"Beomgyu. Grandma's glad you came too." Grandma then called Soobin and Byeol to see Beomgyu. "Beomgyu, have you met Byeol? He's Soobin's cousin." Beomgyu nodded his head as an answer. "Well, that's good, Soobin and Byeol, can you take Beomgyu to play with you?" Byeol then pulled Beomgyu's hand happily and went straight to Soobin's room. And Grandma took Beomgyu's mom to the livibg room where Soobin's parents and Byeol's dad are waiting.

"Gyu how's your foot?" Byeol asked Beomgyu immediately after they got into Soobin's room, who kept Beomgyu quiet when he heard Byeol call him by a nickname. He never got a nickname except from his parents.

"Gyu, what's wrong with you? Am I saying something wrong?" asked Byeol, who confused about Beomgyu's silence.

"No Byeol. My foot's fine by the way. Thank you." Beomgyu blushed, happy with the nickname given from Byeol.

"Hey Choi Beomgyu, I let you into my room doesn't mean we're close and you can play with us."

Seeing Beomgyu who seems afraid of Soobin's words. Byeol took Beomgyu's hand and was about to pull him out of Soobin's room. "You'll play with me Gyu. We don't have to play with Binnie oppa."

"Yah, Byeol-ah I'm just kidding, don't be mad at me." Soobin chased Byeol and Beomgyu, took them back to his room. "We can just read the comic books." Soobin released some of his comic books.

"I didn't know you read this, too. I've read this comic until the last chapter." Beomgyu pointed to one of Soobin's comic books.

"I was just starting to read it but you're already done?" Soobin show an awe expression after hearing Beomgyu's words.

"If you want, you can borrow mine?" Soobin gave Beomgyu his thumb. The sign agreed Beomgyu would lend him the comic book.

"Byeol, I got something for you." Beomgyu took something out of his bag and gave it to Byeol. "Yesterday was your birthday, right? So I thought I'd give you this as a present." Byeol opened the package and she was very impressed with the contents. A beautiful book with a decorations of star on the front cover. "That's one of my favorite books, the one that tells about stars. Because your name has the meaning of the star so I think it represents you very much."

"Thanks Gyu, I'll take a good care of this."
