A/N: Sorry it took sooo long to update... I guess just had other things on my mind.

After a few days of riding, they started to see grass greener than before and lush trees that were quite uncommon in Middle Earth when war was present. They rode a bit farther until finally they reached a sign that read "The Shire".

"We're here, Merry!" cried Pippin, "We are home!" Merry and Pippin jumped off their ponies and ran while everyone else rode all the way to Hobbiton. They followed the hobbits' directions to a place in The Shire called 'Bag End'. This was apparently where a hobbit named Samwise Gardner and his family lived. Éowyn vaguely remembered seeing Sam at Aragorn's coronation, along with Merry, Pippin, and Frodo Baggins. The thought of those happy times painfully hit her.

A few hours into the road leading to Bag End, they decided to camp out in a place apparently called Buckland. It was a little into the evening, but their horses were practically sleep walking. Plus also, Merry happened to be the mayor of Buckland, for he was a Brandybuck. After the meeting of Merry's family, (Merry: *Knock knock* Estella: Stay in bed! I'll get it! Merry: Well, hello there. *smirking* Estella: . . . . . . . . . . . . MERRY!!!!!) they all split up in twos and threes to go and sleep in the different hobbit holes for the night. Some of the men and women had to camp outside near the entrance to Buckland, for the hobbit holes were too tiny to fit three or more humans. Éowyn decided to stay with an old hobbit by the name of Mare. He was nice enough, and he lived alone, so there was plenty of space to fit Éowyn and Elboron comfortably. Aragorn was staying at Merry's hole with Pippin, and since Merry already had three other hobbits inhabiting his hole, Eldarion had to find a different place to rest.

"Good hobbit, should it hurt to invite prince Eldarion to rest in your brilliant hole?" Éowyn asked Mare. He grunted in response, and Éowyn took that as a yes.

. . .

After everyone was settled in, Éowyn went to meet up with Aragorn. Arwen was most likely staying in Rivendell for the night, but that didn't keep Aragorn from worrying.

"What if something is to happen to her? She hasn't ridden alone since before the war, what if the orcs were to attack?!" Aragorn cried as he tried to escape from Éowyn's clutches.

"She will be fine, Aragon, you must stop worrying. And even if orcs were to go near her, she will fight back. Arwen Undómiel is one of the best fighters known to me," Éowyn tried for a smile, but she couldn't help but feel worried about Arwen as well.

She has a super-speed horse. Éowyn reminded herself. But ever since she had given up her immortality to be with Aragorn, she had seemed weaker, at least according to Aragorn. Éowyn believed him. She had seen elves in action, even though the elves Legolas had brought to Gondor were Silvan Elves, she believed that the elves from Rivendell weren't much different. And Arwen had seemed to be quite frail when she and Aragorn had appeared in Éomer's bedroom. She shook her head, and decided to leave Aragorn, because he looked like he needed some alone time.
