Three years have passed since Anna's been born, and she's wonderful. She has icy-blonde hair that falls down past her shoulders like a mini waterfall, and the color of her eyes has gotten bolder. It had been a very faint color of purple, but now it's the most vibrant of colors, noticeable from a far distance. She's learned how to speak full sentences by now and can read. She's already finished all of the Dr. Seuss books and all the picture books in the library. I let her wander around one, letting her choose books she wants to read. She's a very advanced reader for her age, reading "Great Expectations," "Anna Karenina," "Anna of Green Gables," and "Little Women." I don't understand how she likes reading those books. When I was in elementary school, I could hardly get through the Green Gables series. But here she is, reading the entire series as easy as counting. She can count past one thousand and can recognize all sorts of numbers. She's like a mini Matilda. There's no doubt that she'll make it in the gifted program. I want her to be there; she belongs there.
She's running away from the bathroom after I had taken her clothes off. I was about to get her into the bath when she decided to bust out of the bathroom and run away from me.
"Anna, come back!" I shout, laughing. "Billie, help me!"
Billie hurries out and scoops Anna up, carrying her to the bathroom and handing her to me. "Keep a close eye on her," she says with a small wink before walking out.
Billie's in her twenties at this point. She made the difficult decision to stop making music and to stop touring. Anna and I are her main focus. Sometimes she still writes songs and releases them for fun, but she's not going to be making another album. The ones she has are enough, and it would take too much time away from us to make more. I appreciate her doing that. And even though I'm upset that she won't be making any more music, I'm happy that she's chosen to give it up for us.
She's told me that Finneas, our brother, has moved out with his girlfriend, Claudia, living a happy life. They said that they'll come by this year for Christmas to visit. It's mid-July now. Five months left until that. Anna's told me every day that she's excited for them to come. I absolutely love her; she's adorable.
A month after my dad had gotten to me, the police found him in an old motel on the outskirts of town. He's arrested now and sentenced for life. He made a request to see me one final time. Billie didn't want me to, but I agreed to go out there. She was hesitant but let me. He apologized multiple times for all he's done for me. He wanted to see the child.
I said no and simply punched him square in the face.
Anna giggles as I finish telling her that story in the bathroom. "That was funny!"
"Yeah," I say with a small laugh. "I broke his nose and knocked out two of his teeth. It was worth it though."
She stands up and wraps her arms around me tightly. I smile and hug her back. I don't care if my shirt's getting wet. I feel myself tearing up. I don't know where I would be without Anna by my side.
"I love you, Mommy," she says.
"I love you, too," I tell her.
Life couldn't be better.
THE END
Oh, boy, that absolutely was a rollercoaster of emotions. I didn't even think that I would make it this far in the Wattpad business (if you wanna call it that). I never thought people would read my stories. But I'm at over 11k at this point for this story and almost 10k for my original. If you haven't read that yet, please do. It'll make you cry, though, so be warned.
I have a few messages to those with whom I've grown extremely close over the time I've been writing.
@billieons: Girl, I love you, bestie! You are fabulous and fantastic! Stay amazing, stay epic, stay everything great!
@Bilsleftbuttcheeck: Bestie, you are HILARIOUS! You've made me laugh so much, I have cried so much just literally commenting with you. Keep up being who you are. And continue your TikTok. They're great!
@BillieFanGirlyStorys: Thank you so much for reading! I love you so much! Stay cool!
@av0k0d0: You already know why you're on the list 😂 Please keep writing and stay as funny as you are right now!
@zara_kuku: You were one of the first besties that I've met on here. Thank you for being an angel and being so kind. You absolutely did not have to, and you did. I appreciate that so much!
The list could go on and on and on. That's how much I love you guys. There will be one more chapter, maybe released tomorrow. It's the art gallery. I hope you like that since I've spent weeks, literal WEEKS, on all of those drawings.
Stay cool everybody!
I love you all!
