I was dropped at Camp Half Blood after school on the last day. My mom hugs me goodbye like she does every year. I go to the Big House to check in as usual. But this time Chiron seems on edge.

When I ask what's wrong he replies, "There was a prophecy already. Even though the new Oracle only just took up the mantle. It mentioned a daughter of Athena."

"There are plenty of those," I reply.

"Just in case I have to ask; have you had any strange dreams lately? Stranger than usual?"

"Yes. I dreamed I was sleeping in a bed next to a fountain and a trident mounted on the wall. Then I was simply...somewhere else. A cave. With manticores. I heard a scream that was familiar somehow but I can't seem to put my finger on from where."

"You dreamed you were in the Poseidon cabin?"

"I...I guess." I said quietly. Was he going to find out my secret?

"Is there anything else you have to tell me?"

Aurora McDonell, my friend who is the new Oracle, came in and said to me, "Tell him."

I sighed. "Yes. I can move water too. Like Poseidon kids can. I never knew why."

Chiron thinks for a second. "It seems that you and Evan Earle, a Poseidon camper who went missing last night, are this generation's Athena-Poseidon pair."

"What do you mean?"

"There is a genetic mutation that allows demigods to have the powers of two different gods, but they always come in pairs. Mr. Earle is, in a manner of speaking, your other half."

"That's...a lot to take in."

"It is. I'll let you get as settled in as possible before leaving for a quest tomorrow."

The Athena cabin is exactly as I remember it. I close my eyes and take it all in for a minute. The smell of musty books and paper, projects lying around everywhere, this place definitely feels like somewhere I belong. I set my luggage on my usual bed as one of my cabin mates greets me. Then the conch sounds and I head to the dining hall.
