🌻ADESEWA🌻

I rubbed my temples and let out a very deep sigh, out of exhaustion. For the past forty five minutes, I'd been working on my English language assignment. I'd gone halfway already but I felt like I was doing the wrong thing totally.

It was time for lunch break, and I was supposed to be in the cafeteria, eating, like my mates were doing. Instead, I was sitting alone in the classroom, stuck on the stupid assignment that I had to submit before the end of that day. I knew English language was not my thing. But I really didn't have a choice.

I read the passage again, word for word, then went back to the question. How the hell did they expect me to summarize two long paragraphs in two sentences?!

Ah, God!

I wanted to slam the laptop close, but I stopped when I heard my name.

"Adesewa."

I looked up, only to see the least person I expected to see, Ade. I could see only his head, his lips stretched in a wide smile.

Oh, God. How did he find me?

"Can I come in?" He asked.

I looked around then shrugged.
"Sure." I said.

He came in fully, then walked towards my seat. I wondered why he came here again. I wanted to lie to him that I was Adesuwa, not Adesewa, but he probably wouldn't believe me then. Besides, my sister was in art class.

"Uhh...what do you want?" I asked, raising my brows.

"Nothing. I just wanted to see you." He replied as he dragged a chair beside me, then sat down.

His reply only confused me the more. I was just more curious as to why he'd want to see me of all people. I really hoped it was not all those shit they did in books I read, where the guy would be dared to do stupid stuff with a girl. It wasn't like it was something he couldn't do anyways. He was Ade.

I chuckled.
"And why's that?"

"Looks like you're working on something." He said, completely ignoring my question as he looked at my laptop screen.

"Ohh, this assignment. You're just doing it?"

I rolled my eyes at his obvious question.
"Duh!" I said.

I was about to talk when he spoke.
"See, you got this wrong. You shouldn't copy it directly from the passage." He said, pointing at the screen.

Reluctantly, I looked at what he pointed to. Maybe he could actually help me, he was doing way better than me academically after all.

"I didn't copy it. Look, I removed two words, then I removed the and and changed it to a comma."

I could tell that he was trying hard not to laugh at my response.

"That's not how it works. You have to make it short and detailed. For example, this whole passage is one of the reasons, they just added a lot of unnecessary story. All you have to do is bring out the main point, without writing the whole paragraph." He explained.

I became calm and decided to let him do what he wanted to do. Maybe he really wanted to help me. I paid rapt attention as he explained the assignment to me.

"Ohh..."

"See..." He said as he typed the answer to one of the questions.

His typing speed was amazing. He wasn't even looking at the keyboard. I was amazed at how he was able to bring out the answer so easily. Something I was doing for almost an hour. Then I saw beyond the whole playboy attitude. He seemed very intelligent and brilliant. Maybe he wasn't all bad like I assumed.
