POV: Addison
"She's still asleep." I faintly heard my older sister say to my parents. I opened my eyes and yawned as I stretched my arms out. "Nevermind, she's awake." My sister, Jaelynne corrected herself as she handed me a McDonald's bag. "We went by McDonald's and we got breakfast."
I smiled as I took it, "Thanks." I opened the bag and began to take my food out to start eating.
As I was eating, I took a look at my surroundings. Well, of what was outside the van window.
I saw a road.. Some cars... And trees...
No buildings. Oh, how wonderful.
"Where are we?" I decided to go ahead and ask.
"California!" My mother, who was in the passenger seat in front of me, explained. "Just a few more hours until we get to LA."
I just nodded as I continued to eat my McDonald's breakfast.
Okay, I guess I better explain.
My sister wants to be a singer. It's been her dream ever since we were young. But, we've never really had the money to make her dreams come true. Other than having her sing at events and such around our town of Littleton, Colorado. Also, she posts YouTube videos of herself singing and she has a slightly small fan base.
Anyway, my dad got a better job and as time went on, we saved up enough money to finally move to LA to have Jaelynne's dreams come true.
And as for me, I've always wanted to live in LA. And I'm super excited that that's finally happening.
~
Mom, Jaelynne, and I all waited in the car as Dad went in a gas station to ask for directions.
"Where are we moving to, exactly? I know LA, but..." I said.
"It's a small neighborhood in Northridge. Here's our house." Mom said as she handed me her iPad, showing a picture of the house.
It was a beautiful house. It was white, and two stories. And it looked liked we would have a lot of room, as well.
I smiled as I handed the iPad back to Mom, "I love it. I love it already." She smiled back before continuing to play on her phone.
"Ooh, turn it up!" Jaelynne exclaimed as Centuries by Fall Out Boy began to play on the radio. Mom then turned it up as Dad came back into the car, talking to Mom.
"We'll go down in history, remember me for centuries..." Jaelynne sang along with the song as Dad began to drive on the road again.
Jaelynne is such an amazing singer. I enjoyed hearing her sing. She's so good. She just... She has this amazing voice and she can hit notes that a lot of people can't.
I smiled at her. She smiled back as she kept singing.
