TW: PET REGRESSION, SHOUTING, MENTIONS OF PAST ABUSE
Wilbur's POV:
Shit. I fucked up. Dad said I could invite Niki over, but this wasn't supposed to happen!
"Wil?" I heard her call from the front door. "I'm here!" Fuck! I look down at Tommy who's curled up in my lap, fully regressed and chewing on his toy.
"Can my friend know?" I asked quietly. Tommy looked up at me, his ears going flat. "She's nice, I promise. She won't hurt you!" He nodded and went back to chewing his toy. "Niki! In here!" I called out, mentally kicking myself when Tommy flinched. I pulled his toy away, earning a resigned growl.
"Wil? Oh! You must be Tommy!" She said, smiling at the raccoon hybrid on my lap. His ears went back slightly, and he let out a small growl. She seemed confused for a second before crouching down in front of him. "Hi bud!" She said softer.
"He uh, he's in his pet space right now," I said, petting his ears. She gave me a look as she sat down beside me.
"Like age regression?" I nodded, remembering that she worked with some of the kids at the elementary school who had mental conditions like this.
"Yeah, but instead he wants to be more like a pet, always wanting cuddles and his toy." I explained, gesturing to the toy beside me.
"I see! So do you want your toy?" She asked Tommy who's ears went up. He nodded and she gave it to him, letting him chew it again. "He's so cute!" She said happily, petting his tail as he laid it in her lap. He did that often, putting his tail around something or someone he wanted to stay with.
"That means he thinks of you as a friend!" I said, smiling at my little brother. Niki smiled too, and we went on to discuss which movie to watch while he enjoyed our presence.
Niki POV: (oooh, interesting!)
We were halfway through the movie he Tommy woke up. He had been curled up in between us with his head on Wil's lap and his tail wrapped around my arm.
"He' so smol!" Wil said looking at the small raccoon hybrid in front of us.
"Bitch," Tommy muttered. I looked at Wil, not sure whether to be terrified or proud.
"Well ok then."
