"Ahhh! Mom, it's too dark! Shouts Bodhi.
Sean was startled. Li Hua's sleep was disturbed too. She ran to open the boys room and press the light's switch on.
"I'm sorry Bodhi, I forgot to leave the lights on, am sorry baby, ayi's here now, don't worry." She calms the boy while rubbing his back. "I'm sorry Shen, I forgot to tell you to lit up one bulb because Bodhi's scared of the dark." Sorry boys, it's my fault.
Sean now finally realizes what's happening. It's already 2:00 in the morning. He reaches for Bodhi's head to pat it too. "I didn't know didi." He murmured on Bodhi's ear. "Gege is sorry,"
Bodhi on the other hand was still crying and is calling for his mom and papa in a very soft voice; he's kind of like having a nightmare.
"Mom, come on run! Run! Papa, papa you're bleeding, papa!" he cried continuously. "Mom, Papa," he mumbles. Where are you, why did you leave Wei Wei, why did you leave me, momma, papa, I miss you," he cried.
"Here, drink this," Sean trying to hand Bodhi a glass of water from his bed side. "Take it," He persuades and the little boy who took a long sip. "There you go good job didi." He commended.
Li Hua tries to cuddle the crying boy, until he falls asleep again, She tucked him and Sean in the bed once more and left the lamp stand on Bodhi's side open. "I will leave the door open too, Sean, just in case he can see me outside right away." She explains. Sean gave a nod and face Bodhi. He extended his left arm and gave a hug on the younger boy. He closed his eyes and finally drift off. Li Hua on the other hand can't sleep. She made herself a warm glass of milk and munched on the Yangchow she reheated inside the microwave.
While eating, she turned on the news in Lotus Macau channel. There, was the replay of the evening news last night, under the "breaking news" was the notorious killings of Bodhi's parents. According to the news anchor, the reason for the brutal murder has something to do with Macau's Triad, wherein two of the four major triads in the country were involved. There were so many speculations regarding about the death of Bodhi's parents and none of which were pleasing to ears. She got so upset and pressed the power button off. "Triad my ass, bunch of crazy hood looms who's got nothing good to offer, *&%!" She cussed and pulled the quilt from the couch and returned back to sleep.
It's already dawn. As the day is long so as Bodhi's suffering.
