Putting all the traumatic stuff behind me, a few weeks followed. On one night Tom decided he wanted to show me a place he liked to go to, so we drove over there. It was like a 10 minute drive, but the result was absolutely breathtaking. You had an amazing view all across the river, and it was so calming.
"Oh dear god, it's beautiful here." I said, stepping out of the car.
"I know, it is. It's so peaceful, which makes it a great place to think." He said smiling.
"I can surely understand that, you hear no noises of cars or anything that might disturb you."
"Yeah, that's true. I wanted to show you this because I know how much you like views like this and I just thought of it."
"Well, I like the way you think, you're absolutely right."
We just sat there for maybe an hour and a half, and without even noticing Tom took a picture of the two of us, I didn't mind though.
