After what felt like hours, I had fallen asleep a bit, only to be woken up by movements on the bed. I looked up, seeing Tom's eyes open up.

"Hey, you're awake," I said, a little tired from spending so much time in the hospital.

"What happened?" Tom asked, sounding a bit weak.

"You got into an accident, a carcrash."

"Oh shit, that's messed up. How long have I been unconscious?"

"Almost a day..."

"Almost a day!? Oh, I'm so sorry, did I keep you worried?"

"A little, but not that bad. You did miss Taylor Swift though, so that's a good punishment for keeping me worried."

"I missed Taylor Swift? Wow, this day couldn't get any better, can it?"

"Nope, I even forgot it was my birthday."

"Right yeah, that's why I was driving in the first place, I was getting you a present."

"Okay, now I feel responsible for your accident."

"But you don't have to, some idiot who probably had been drinking hit me with his car, this is not your fault. Look at me, it is not your fault."

"If you can make my brain believe that, we'll call it a miracle."

"You know what, as soon as we're home, we are going to celebrate your birthday, no excuses allowed."

"Do you have a telepathic bond with my dad or something? He's literally already organizing a party as we speak, inviting all the cast members, etcetera."

"What if I do, it's just to make sure you get everything you deserve."

"Hey, I'm supposed to be the one who makes you feel good at the moment. You're the one who's in the hospital after a car accident, not me."

"Can you name one time I actually listened to that specific advice?"

"I'm desperately looking for a time that you did, but it doesn't ring any bells. How are you so fricking perfect, it's not fair."

"Because I'm Spider-Man, darling. It's part of the job prescription to be perfect."

"You can't use the argument that you're Spider-Man everytime, Tom. It'll make it less true everytime you say it, think about that."

"Right, when was the last time I listened to that, understood what was said and applied said argument to real life?"

"First of all, I know it's absolutely never, and second, stop using such fancy words when you're making a point, we're not in a bloody debate," I said, pointing to him.

"Hey, you're getting your British accent back," Tom said, taking my hand.

"I've always had a British accent, it just faded away after some time."

"Nothing a good cup of tea can't fix, I guarantee it, you'll be talking British in no time again."

"That is the most English sentence I've ever heard, it just makes me want to get a cup of earl grey tea already."

"Good thing I'm such an amazing dad that I got you some, good to see you're awake, kid," Dad said, coming in with three cups of tea.

"You're still here? I thought that you'd be party planning already, why aren't you?"

"Because I'm already done, sweetheart, everybody's waiting for you to get your ass home."

"Thanks Robert, I appreciate all the effort you make for Y/n," Tom said, getting back up.

"No problem, kid. But I really need to get this off my chest," He does one of his dramatic silences, "You two are the most perfect couple on the goddamn planet, so I need a wedding date in order to start planning everything."

Yeah, that made me almost spill my tea, I did not see that coming. And in the corner of my eye, I could see Tom was having the same issue.

"Excuse me?" I asked, after coughing.

"Deny it all you want, but I assure you, you guys are married before the year's done. I will make sure of it, that's what a dad does."

"I'm pretty sure that's not exactly what they do, but thank you for the offer," Tom said.

"Oh no, that wasn't an offer, it was a promise. Y/n, I've missed already so much of your life, I'm not going to miss this either. So Tom, you better get a ring around her finger, because if you don't, I will."

"Marrying your daughter is illegal dad, and don't you already have a wife?" I pointed out, causing us all to laugh.
