—BAKUGOU walked you back home after your interaction at the park. you eventually reached your house and he spoke up.
"well, bye, i guess," he grumbled. he then cocked his head to the side to look behind you. "y'all have two cars?"
you turned your head and saw two cars parked in your driveway. one of them was your mom's, and the other one was...kubo's.
"no, it's just this dude," you said and started to walked towards the door. "thanks for walking me back."
"yeah, whatever," he said and walked back in the direction you came from. you unlocked the door with your key and walked inside.
"mama?" you called out. "i'm home."
"oh, hi baby!" she came and hugged you. "sit down, i've got exciting news."
"glad to see you again, y/n," kubo waved.
you smiled and did the same. your mom patted down next to her on the couch and you sat between her and kubo. "so, what's the news? ooh, did my shoes get here already?"
"no, not that," she glanced at kubo with huge smile and then back at you. you were starting to get nervous. why did they keep looking back at each other? oh god no, are they getting married?
"i'm opening my own restaurant!"
you let out a huge sigh of relief, and then your mouth gaped open and you blinked. "wait..what? how-"
your mom squealed excitedly. "ah, it feels so good to tell you! i've been keeping it from you for while, even while we were in america. i wanted to suprise you! i want to share my cooking to the people of shizuoka prefecture! i have so many ideas for things for the menu, and obviously imma add my famous mac and cheese that you love-"
"wait," yoi interrupted. "how much did this cost you?"
"oh, well, i had to sell a couple of things, but it's okay! y/n, this is gonna be worth all of those clothes i sold!"
"yeah," you smiled. "i'm so proud of you mama...wait. you didn't sell my clothes, did you?"
she and kubo let out a laugh. "baby, i know better than to touch your clothes."
you looked between the two. "so, when you said that you were goin' to work..."
"yeah, i was actually busy at planning this," she said scratching her head. "kubo was a very big help."
