I could never swallow my pills.
I knew how silly it was
and before I got the
confidence
to swallow them whole
it was already too late.
Everyone had left
no one was there
to give me water
so that
my throat wasn't sore.
I tried reuniting
with their doubts
but I can never
admit that
I won't achieve
how big these pills are.
No matter what
I'm not able
to receive this truth
and cope with swallowing
my pills.
