"It's always the tough ones who go through hell to reach heaven"
Damian PoV:
"What happened Zayn?" I looked towards him helplessly. He smiled sheepishly causing my frustration to go up because it meant that it wasn't anything serious.
"Ehhh...the crib that you bought for Elenora is complicated and none of our men are able to fix it" he said while scratching the back of his head.
Xavier laughed causing Elijah and Nora to wake up. They just looked around noticing all the strangers. Nora suddenly started crying probably because she realised she was not in the arms of someone familiar. But Elijah started crying too and while I tried to give him to Xavier he clutched on to me too hard.
I took a deep breath and adjusted Elijah on one hand and took Nora with the other. So now I looked like one of those baby sitters doing an over shift with shortage of staff. But the good thing was that they stopped crying.
Zayn and Xavier were laughing so hard that they had tears in their eyes while Lisa looked at me with admiration. "Do..youuuu know how...fffunny you look right noooow" Zayn wheezed between laughs. I glared at him to shut him up.
Both of them finally calmed down while I looked down to see that Nora and Elijah were looking at each other curiously while holding each other's fingers. Shit!! I thought I didn't have to worry about boys for another 20 years!!!??? I immediately handed Elijah back to Xavier who noticed my concern and chuckled.
"Dude keep your kid far from mine!!" I yelled while clutching Nora tighter. Everyone laughed while Nora was still looking around. We spent the whole afternoon talking and Xavier even offered to build Nora's crib and Let's just say that Zayn was so happy.
It was nearly evening when Dr. Naina came into the room with the reports. She raised and eyebrow at all of us as of asking how come two dudes who were sliming guns at each other were sitting and chatting like college besties. She shakes her head and spoke "okay so Nora can be discharged and her surgery went well but it may be possible that she might have small fevers here and there while recovering and be ready for things to get messy." I nodded my head and looked at Nora who was sleeping and wiped a bit of drool while laughing to myself.
Dr. Naina turned towards Xavier and Lisa and continued " As for Elijah he also can be discharged as his infection isn't severe and he's fully recovered. You can collect the medicines from the pharmacy." Xavier and Lisa thanked her and she was about to walk out of the door when she turned back "oh and Mr.Romano could you please ask your brother to stop flirting with every woman including myself if he wants to have kids of his own. And please don't mind that big bruise on his face from my punch earlier, I was not in my best moods." My eyes widened and I nodded.
Stupid Ash! He just had to flirt with my daughter's doctor. Well he deserved that bruise though. Dr. Naina was a married woman and he was stupid enough to not notice the ring. I shook my head and chuckled to myself and noticed that Nora was awake. "Well your uncle is stupid isn't he?" I cooed to her and she squealed so loud so as to say I know right!!.
We were all packed up and were ready to leave. It was decided that Xavier and his family will see us as soon as he sorts out some of his legal businesses. Zayn reversed the car as we left the hospital. But one thing that I felt was that we were not only heading towards our home but also towards a bright future. I smiled to myself at the thought and cradled Nora while she snuggled closer to me bringing a smile to my face.
