"I've dreamt of showing you the world and today as I do it, tears are just a step away"

Damian's PoV:

Australia

"Nora smile for the camera baby!!" I yelled as my baby turned towards me while giggling and playing with the baby Kolas. We are on our first trip and I've decided to come to Australia as it's full of nature and amazing animals that Nora might enjoy.

We are on a jungle safari and currently Nora is squealing whenever she spots the smallest of the small animals. My ears are suffering but the smile on my face is present, twenty four seven.

The Kola suddenly leaped upon seeing her mother and in the process scared Nora a bit making her cry

The Kola suddenly leaped upon seeing her mother and in the process scared Nora a bit making her cry. Ahhhhh. Another round of 'let my ears suffer'. I put the camera down and grabbed her. "Nora, shhhh calm down baby" I rocked her back and forth and she finally stopped crying after a while and slept. Huh? Slept? Wait what? But Nora doesn't sleep except for in afternoons?

I sighted to myself wondering how I'll carry all our things back to the hotel. Nora's pram had an issue so I brought her baby carrier. I strapped her tightly and swooning to myself about how cute she looked. Then proceed to lift all our things which included her go-to bag, a few shopping Bags and oh grocery.

Great Damian, how much more of an idiot could you be? You came for grocery shopping without a car? I sighted to myself and looked around if I could find a cab. Oh wait! It's a small town, how can I find one.

After debating with myself for an hour I finally was able to carry all the bags and proceed to
Walk uphill. The cottage that we were staying in was situated on a higher level with meadows surrounding it.

Halfway through the way I was panting. Ahh I was so out of shape. Luckily Nora was still asleep. I didn't know what came over me but whenever I look at her small face with all the cute details of her, my heart gets all mushy!

I sighted to myself about how much of an idiot I was to miss out on so many months of her life. But I was determined to make it up.

After about what seemed liked ages I finally reached the top and our cottage came into view. I bought this cottage upon my mom's insistence once but I wasn't really sure I would use it. But now I m glad I bought it.

It has beautiful meadows surrounding it and small butterflies were a sight to watch. I stepped inside the house and put everything down and proceeded to place Nora in her crib when suddenly she woke up and started crying.

I sighted to myself and lifted her up in my arms and she instantly stopped crying. I squinted my eyes at her and she looked at me innocently with her big eyes.

I laughed to myself about how she was so cute and intelligent. One thing that I got to know about Nora was that she was someone who doesn't trouble anyone. She will cry silently if needed but will not trouble anyone.

But what makes me happy is that she trusts me enough to cry out and express in front of me. I smiled to myself and went to the kitchen to make something for myself and warm up Nora's milk.

Holding a baby in one arm and trying to work is difficult. My salutes to all the mom's who do it on a daily basis. After struggling for about twenty minutes I was finally done and I sat down to eat and watched Nora as she drank her  milk.

How did we come to this? It was supposed to be me and Jules happily taking care of Nora. How did it come down to only me? How could I let Nora down like that? I can only imagine the pain that she went through and every time I look at the small scar on her hand, I feels responsible. Responsible for all the bad things that happened to her.

Whatever may happen, I will forever love and cherish her. Enough of me moping around, it's all about Nora now and she will be happy at any cost.

I cleaned around for a bit while making sure to have a close eye on Nora. It was five in the evening and Nora was getting restless so I decided to take her out and this time I took out her pram and went into the garage to bring out my car.

"Damn Nora, remember me to thank uncle Ash!". Standing right in front of me was a vintage classic. One of my most favourite models about which only Ash knew.

I strapped Nora to the car seat and drove downtown

I strapped Nora to the car seat and drove downtown. I stopped at a small bakery that seems nice. I parked and took out Nora, not forgetting the pram.

I stepped inside the bakery and immediately the smell of baked goodnesses surrounded me, making me smile. I walked to the counter and started looking around for things and noticed that the bakery wasn't really full.

There was no one at the counter but I could hear voices from inside. Suddenly a crash was heard followed by the scream of a woman.

I rushed inside making sure to pick Nora and keeping her close. It was the kitchen and in the very corner of it was a redhead. But what bothered me was that a man was trying to touch her while she was fighting.

Her back was towards me so I couldn't really see her face but the asshole in the front was really ugly with yellow teeth. Geez man someone give him some toothpaste.

I strapped Nora to my back and got ready to beat the shit out of him. When suddenly the girl stopped sniffing and stood up straighter and kicked him in the balls.

Ouch that might have hurt! She proceeded to grab his hair and smashed his face to the wall and whispered something in his ear making his face go pale. Damn and here I was thinking that I should save her.

She beat the shit out of him and after twisting his arm, she finally let him go and damn he was limping and running. Not a good combination dude.

Who was this woman? She is trained. That's for sure, because her stance wasn't of some beginner. I coughed to let her know about my presence.

She stiffened for a minute and slowly turned to face me. But this time it wasn't her who stiffened. It was me. My face paled. Why you might ask? Because the woman standing in front of me was supposed to me dead.

"Jules!!!?" I whispered.
