That's A Date

Nat's pov

After we payed our visit to Tony we headed back to his place. Pepper was going to stay with him in the hospital. So me and y/n have the house for ourselves the next 5 days. I'm really nervous for tonight's date. But before all of that I have work to do, and so does y/n. We came back home and I immediately went to my room to make myself ready for work. I had a meeting with Fury today but no one knows that. They all think I have some paper work to do.
Apparently y/n has to got to an old friend since he's back in town.
Before I leave the house I see him making himself ready in his room, I headed out but before I could open the front door I hear him walking behind me.
' So uhm about tonight.'
' Don't worry I'll be back from work in a couple of hours.'
' Great, as you know I won't be here until 7 pm so just be ready at that time.'
' But don't you need to change your clothes?'
' Worry about yourself Rushman😂.'
' If you say so. '

We say goodbye and both leave at the same time. I make my way to Fury and give him the daily report about Tony stark. I didn't tell him about y/n tho. I don't know why, maybe because what y/n makes me feel is unprofessional and Fury might think it'll distract me from my job. We only met yesterday day but I feel like we're connected, even though I was thought love is for children I just can't ignore it.... The way he makes me feel. It's probably just a faze I guess. I mean we barely know each other but we do have the next few days to change that.
It's 5pm, y/n won't be here until 7pm so I could slowly get ready for our date this evening. I open the door and head to my room. Suddenly I hear my phone ringing and I see that it's Pepper. 'hey Natalie , I'm just calling to check if everything is going well there.'
I knew that wasn't the real reason she was calling me but I played along.
' Hello Pepper, everything is okay over here. How is Tony?'
' He's alright, his injuries hurt a lot but he's recovering well.'
' That's good to hear. '
' Yea... So I was just wondering who Y/n is bringing with him tonight.'
' Oh wel he asked me to join him yesterday. '
' YESSS *coughs*... Uh.. I mean great, you too have a good time. '
' Hahaha of course we will. '
' Okay but I have to go now. See you tomorrow then. '
' Yep see you tomorrow. '
She hangs up the phone, I throw it on my bed and hop in the shower. I used the best smelling shampoo I had, and had a hot shower for about 15 minutes. I walked back to my bedroom and dried myself of with towels. I opened my closet and after a hot minute of arguing with myself about which dress I'll be wearing tonight I could finally decide. I dried up my hair and curled it. Make-up was next. I didn't do much of it, since I already have a good looking face 😏.
After an hour and a half I was finally done with everything. Downstairs I was waiting for him on the couch. I might have been 30 minutes early but I'm always early. There is no such thing as on time, you're either late or early. I don't believe in love at first sight.... But it's just that... I mean... I don't know...even though we were total strangers yesterday he did not hesitate sacrificing his life for me and that's just the sweetest thing someone has ever done for me. I hear a car in the driveway, a couple of seconds later the bel rings. I run to the door and open it to a very handsome y/n.
' Woa you look beautiful' that was the first thing he said to me while I was still admiring the way he looked in his black suit.

She opened the door with a wide smile on her face. The way she looked literally took my breath away....
