"Karl? Have you seen noodle?" Waverly asked. Waverly had woken up that morning, and when she went to feed noodle he was gone.
"Im his cage?" Karl asked, and sapnap, who was visiting, nodded. "Im not that dumb you idiots, noodle isn't in there" the three of them went to his cage to double check, and Waverly was correct, noodle was gone.
"Its ok Waverly, we'll find him" Karl rubbed her back.
Waverly has had noodle for forever, whenever Karl wasn't around and Waverly needed a friend, noodle was right there, noodle was right there to give her the love she needed.
For the next two or so hours the three of them looked around the house frantically for their lost pet. "How about we take a break, sap and I will stream and you can call punz, calm down" Karl hugged her, and went to stream.
"Hey baby" she heard through her phone. "Hi lukey" she smiled sadly. "Whats wrong?" He asked, his expression softening.
"Its noodle he- hes gone and I cant find him" Waverly said, bouncing her leg up and down. "You'll find him, I know you will"
The rest of the day, Waverly, Karl, sapnap, Jimmy, Chris, and chandler searched the house frantically.
Soon enough, Chris came from the backyard, his arms across his chest and a sad expression painted on his face
"Chris..?" Karl asked. Waverly looked over at chris and her expression went from, scared, to relieved, to absolutely horrified. "I found him curled up in the flowerbed, the one he loved so much, im so sorry Waverly" Waverly choked a sob. "He can't be..." Chris layed noodle into her arms, and Waverly sat on the ground, petting his small head. "I love you" she whispered, holding him close. "Im so sorry" she whispered to him more. "I should've been there for you too" her tears wouldn't stop flowing.
Karl placed his hand on her back, rubbing it as she sobbed. "You wanna burry him?" Karl asked, petting noodle too. She just simply nodded, and went to the backyard
They planted him in flowers he loved so much, with a simple rock next to his grave shaped like a 'u'
"Goodbye noodle"

"Happy birthday waverly!" Young Karl giggled, handing her a crate. Inside the crate layed a small ferret, poking its nose through the cage. "HES SO CUTE!" she screamed, taking him out
"Im gonna name you noodle!"

"Noodle... i- he hurts me- why am I with him" Waverly sobbed. She couldn't tell Karl, he would get upset with her. Noodle was the only one who understood

Punz leaned in, holding her waist and kissing her lips. Just then they were interuoted by noodle climbing up his leg. "NOODLE!"

"I graduate today noodle, Karl and I are going out into the world" she laughed, hugging her best friend close. "I graduate today...." she repeated. "Wish me luck!"

"Mom im here!" She called as she walked through the door, sitting noodle down. "Theres my grandson!" Her mom laughed, picking up noodle. "He says i love you"

"Thank you for everything" she whispered. Her sobs had died down, just silent tears now. She sat a singular lily down on his small grave, and went inside.
A little while later, she lay with her head into karls lap, and her feet on sapnap, watching attack on titan, curled under a blanket, with no emotion. Karls phone went off and he checked it. "Hello?" He asked. "Yea, she's right here, I think she should tell you" Karl handed Waverly the phone
"Hi baby" he said greeting her. "Hi" she said, her breath short. "Did you find noodle?" He asked calmly. Her breath hitched, as she let out a whimper "yea" the little voice crack she had was all he needed to know what happened to the beloved pet.
"Im so sorry Waverly, I'm so sorry"
"Its ok... he had a good life"

Dealing with pet loss is hard. I think I cried more over my dog then my grandma
