Now came the day where it was waverlys time to leave, punz and Waverly herself had been dreading this moment but waverly was excited to see tucker and karl. She packed all her stuff, grabbing noodle and stood in the doorway waiting for luke, he came down the stairs with a sad smile on his face. "Ready to go?" He asked. She nodded her head, holding out her hand, which he grabbed.
The car ride there was silent, luke was holding waverlys hand the whole time, singing quietly to the music. "Luke..." waverly whispered, looking in the back seat at teddy, with a small smile. "Yea?" She reached back to pet the dog. "Thank you for being so nice, and caring... um" she started, bringing her hand back up to meet with his that rested on the middle console. "Your welcome" he squeezed her hand with a smile on his face. "But luke," she looked at his concentrating face as he stared at the road, humming slightly to the music. The lighting brightened his face just perfectly, he looked like of he was disturbed at any moment he would shatter.
"Never mind" she sighed, staring at the sky,
It had been a few hours since Waverly chickened out of her half assed confession. They were now at the airport, patiently awaiting waverlys fight. They left early so they had time to do there cheesy goodbyes. No words were spoken. Waverly sat fiddling her fingers, trying to muster up the courage to tell him.
"Flight 15 now boarding" waverlys breath hitched, her eyes began to water but she wiped them away quickly. "Well, I guess that's you" punz said quietly. "I guess it is" she sniffled. They sat for a second before Waverly shot up and hugged him tight. "I dont want to leave you" she cried into his shoulder. "I know wave, we will see eachtoher again soon and I'll call you everyday to-"
"I love you luke" she said, cutting him off with a kiss. "W-what-" he said once they parted.
"I know its soon but I love you, I dont care if its soon i had an amazing time with you and I really do love you. I dont want to leave you and i- you dont have to say it back, I get it bu-" she was cut off by a kiss, a nice passionate one. "I love you too Waverly, now go before you miss your flight and I break down crying on this airport." He pushed her to the door and watched her leave, once she boarded he left.
Punz got in his car, turning it on and looking back at teddy. "I've fallen hard teddy" he smiled sadly, petting his bestfriend. He looked up and saw her plane over him, then and only then did he cry, the tears were silent, just falling down his cheeks like rain. His heart ached to hold her again, but his head knew it would be awhile before that encounter.
Waverly however, was sobbing the entire way there, quietly of course, she longed to be in his arms again, like they were built to fit her, like they were hand crafted and specifically built to fit around her body as she tossed and turned in her sleep.
Once she got home her tears had dried, her cheeks were stained, her head hurt but she pushed it aside. She walked into the house and was greeted by being tackled to the ground by two figures. "Oh my god we've missed you"
"DUMBASSES YOUR GONNA KILL HER!"
"CHRIS! TUCKERS HERE!"
"Sorry..."
Waverly chuckled and hugged karl and chandler back, "I've missed home" she said, her voice raggity and course.
She now sat in her room telling everything to karl, cuddling him on her bed. "You told him you love him?"
"Yea.."
"OH MY GOD!" He screamed excitedly. "Karl headache!" She smacked him, they both started laughing. They missed eachother, it was a long time since they last had time apart. Karl and Waverly are always together.
"Hello Waverly"
"No baby? Geez I leave for a few hours and start getting treated like you didn't just confess your undying love for someone"
"Well I'm sorry, let me try that again" he hung up quickly, and then called again. "Hey babygirl" he smiled, she immediately had a heart attack. "I like that better, do it again" she hung up, and waited for his call. He called and she answered quickly. "Hey babygirl I love you"
"Im never gonna get used to that"
